Furniture N Creations of Waupaca, WI, took nearly $5,000 from me for a custom product -- a treehouse loft bed for my son's birthday during a tough year -- that was to be delivered in January. Today is June 10, 2022, and it's not here yet. Not only that, but last month, the owner sent me a photo of my bed purportedly in progress but the metadata shows she "modified" the image May 9, 2022. The image was created in January 2021 -- 10 months before I even placed my order. When she didn't reply to my question about this discrepancy, I filed a claim in Waupaca County. After that filing, the owner finally reached out with an update -- complete with new photos of a DIFFERENT bed that supposedly is mine -- but told me she wouldn't ship my paid-for product until I dropped the claim. She expects me to trust that she's going to send a product about which she flat-out lied to me. In short, she's holding it hostage (assuming, that is, that this second image is even legitimate; considering that message arrived May 20 and I've heard nothing from her since, it's quite possible it wasn't a legitimate image of my bed, either, but rather only an attempt to get me to drop the suit.) Regardless, the claim -- which is public record, so feel free to look it up in said county and read our exchange of messages via text and email -- would easily be dismissed if my bed arrived. But it hasn't. In fact, the owner never bothered replying to my message saying, no, the suit gets dismissed once the bed is in my house. As far as I can tell at this point, she is a thief. I plan to post on every review site I can find until either my bed arrives or my money is returned. My 8-year-old son is closer to his next birthday than to the one for which I'd bought this gift. I'm having to teach him about contracts, fraud and small claims court. Buyer beware if you opt to give her your hard-earned money. Notice how she plasters her website with "no refunds" notes. She means it. She'll take your money and run.
