The concrete patio that Stern poured at my house was the worst concrete work I have ever seen and I have personally poured hundreds of driveways/slabs. From the forming to the finishing the quality of work was abysmal. I will be attaching many images and will reference the images while I describe the issues. I am limited to 2k characters, I will not be able to describe all of the problems. I could easily use 30k.The sides on my patio are not even close to straight (CrookedLines.jpg). The side bows out about 2.5 inches on 10ft.The concrete is not level (LevelOnConc.jpg) There is a huge dip under the level with 6 quarters under it. The dip is so deep the 6 quarters (~1/2 inch) are not even touching the level (6QuarterUnderLvl.jpg). The entire concrete has varying degrees of waviness.(BadFinish.jpg) The concrete was too hard when they tried to broom it. They also lied about (BadFinish2.jpg). The owner told me that when they covered it from the rain it washed some cream away and they had to re-broom it. Those marks are because the concrete was too hard to broom the first time and I'm guessing they used a hard bristled broom to do it. Like I said I've poured many slabs, there is no use lying about that. They did not finish under the stairs (UnfinishedUnderStairs.jpg)(DivotInConcrete.jpg) speaks for itself. ~1.5in long and .5in deep.(NoEdgeByHouse.jpg) They either need to finish it flat by the house or preferably edge it.(PuddleOfWater.jpg) There is standing water on the slab.(LevelOnStairs.jpg) The stairs were level before they started and it's embedded into the concrete making replacing them impossible without tearing out some of the slab.(DirtUnderFence.jpg) They "reclaimed" the yard and my fence is 4.5 inches **************.(PileOfSod.jpg)(BlackEdging.jpg) I spent a couple hours cleaning up because the dirt was 3 inches high in some places. There are more problems but I'm out of characters and I have more pictures but a 5MB limit.Initial Complaint

We hired Stern ****************** to do a cement patio in our back yard. The work was done in June of 2022. Overall we originally were happy with the results. However, this spring, after being covered in snow all winter, the patio had a large, jagged crack from one end to the other as well as several other smaller cracks. The stain they applied was also flaking off on the entire patio. We messaged them on their ******** page and we got two canned responses that didnt address our concerns with the large cracks or stain flaking off. They said that all concrete will eventually crack in ********* and that stain will usually have to be reapplied in high traffic areas every few years. We messaged again and we received a response that we needed to contact the owner, ***. He took a while to get back to us and he basically said the same thing. We requested that someone come look at it in person because if all concrete cracks why was none of the rest of the concrete at our house cracked after 4 1/2 years? He never sent someone out and only offered to fill the cracks or do nothing, our choice. We told him we werent happy with that because it would still keep cracking and crumbling, but he kept saying thats all they would do. Weve had two other companies look at the job Stern did and both said it looks like they didnt put down enough of a base under the concrete and that they put the rebar under the concrete instead of inside it. One also said they should have sealed it, which we were told by Stern that it didnt need to be sealed. Both companies told us it will keep cracking since it was done poorly. I have posted reviews and pictures on their ******** page and they have deleted them and blocked me rather than responding. We have a bid of $5000 to remove the current patio and replace it. We paid approximately $3700 to Stern and are requesting a refund.Business response

no concrete is warranted for cracking sorry for the inconvenience.
