      On Thursday April 21, 2022 paid via check a downpayment for the completion of a bar cabinet area to be completed in my house. Via text exchange he was going to start work in mid May. Came out to measure for the bar on May 2nd and has not responded to my text messages since. He has removed his website and canceled on a different project he was working on for a different client. I am seeking to receive a refund of my downpayment made of $3,500.

      Hello, I am from Oak and Carbon and responding to a complaint you had received.

      The complaint was filed on May 18th from what I can tell. I came out and measured the job site on the date they had stated. As far as not responding to messages, I received one on May 16th, and responded May 18th around 10 am in the morning. There were no other messages sent to me, after I measured until May 16th. May 19th they text me at 4pm that they are seeking a full refund and such, which I responded to on the morning of May 20th, that I would be refunding them the entire amount. 

      To address other details of the complaint that are not directly tied to this complaint, my website was down for 2 days around that period but has been back up since. As far as cancelling on another job, that is not the case. I was offered by the contractor on that job site for someone else to complete the work, which I have paid those contractors in full to complete that project, and is not tied to or relevant to this complaint at all.

      ***** was refunded all of her money June 1st, as I had told her I would on May 20th, within 24 hours of her asking for a refund.
