I have been contacted by Firefighters Support Alliance aka Firefighters and EMS Fund over 11 times in a 24 hour period. When ending a demand letter he said they are exempt from the tepa because they are a PAC 527 Non-Profit organization. The law states that if they use an autodialed and a recorded message (Robocall), that they are not exempt if calling a cellphone. Well they contacted me on my cell phone using my ****** Voice number. All calls go to my cell phone and cost money for minutes and data rates and that sets makes it classified as not a cell phone but a mobile other device and they are not exempt from that category. Their argument was that I used a landline since it was VOIP but recent articles speak on other cases that fell into the cell phone category because you can prove the calls are being paid for to use. Besides I told them to remove me from their list and who calls 11 times in a day with a robocall and thinks its legal. If your getting these calls you may be eligable for 500 to $1,500 per call if made to your cell phone. I do have calls made to my cell phone from them that I can also use if needed. Beware...

Numerous phone calls, often several in a day, to my Alzheimers wife requesting donations. The organization is the Firefighters and EMS Fund of *********, **. We life in ********. I have tried to block the calls to no avail. When told to send documentation about the organization, they request of her a credit card number. BBB would do this country a BIG service if it joined forces to shut this apparent scam down.

I have received phone solicitations from a man named *** on behalf of the Firefighters Support Alliance for at least six weeks, multiple times a day from many different numbers. I have repeatedly asked to not be contacted or removed from the calling list. I have blocked the number but he calls back under a different number. At this point its harassment.

I get numerous recorded calls. I want them to stop. You can't get to a human to express this. The voice is also connected with other robo calls. How do i stop them? They used various numbers, all not theirs. Can't there be a class action against these pacs.

I am receiving recorded calls asking for donations to the Firefighters Support Alliance. These calls begin with a recording sounding as if a live person is speaking. The wording seems to request a donation to support a charity for Firefighters. If you try to ask questions you get different recorded answers that *** not be relevant to your question. Asking to speak to a live person gets you a repeat of the "person" identifying the "name" and the company. There is no way to get a live person on the phone. The way this is set up misleads people into making contributions they believe are going to help firefighters when they would not normally make contributions to a PAC. They keep calling me even though I am on the Do Not Call List and have asked them to stop calling my number.
