I recently purchased a sofa from Galleria Furniture store. It was delivered on February 4th. The delivery men was able to get it in the door and up a few steps inside my apartment. However after observing how much they were struggling to get it up the additional steps and It was obvious the sofa was too large, I made the decision to have them take it back for fear damaging the walls. When they left I noticed they had already damaged the wall. I took pictures and immediately informed the sales people at the store. I was told the manager would call me to discuss the damages. I sent an email with pictures of the damage and called several times with no response. I would like Galleria to cover the cost of the repairs.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[I am rejecting the response from Galleria Furniture store. I was never told I was responsible for delivery when I purchased the sofa. Also, there are no signs in the store or on the receipt stating the consumer is responsible for delivery damages. When the incident occurred I went to the store with the pictures showing the damage to my wall and was told by the employees to email the pictures showing what happened during delivery so the manager can review. Again no one mentioned I was responsible for damages. Its been a month and still no one has reached out to me yet.

I purchased furniture to complete two bedrooms on Oct 10, 2022. I was told that my order will be within two days. The delivery was Oct `12, 2022. However, only a fraction of my items was delivered. I called the store and was told that the other items were not available yet. They are on backorder... first I heard of this. Why wasn't this mentioned at the time of purchase? The items that were delivered did not match what I purchased so I went back to the store to speak with the saleswoman, and she said "This is the displayed item, and the warehouse will send whatever they have available. "The Box spring height is not guaranteed, plus people will not see your Box spring. Wait what?!?!? I determined the same box spring which they did quickly replaced. However where are my remaining items? I was then told some items will be delivered on Nov 11 and Nov 16. Nothing, now the delivery date is Nov 30, and the last item will be delivered mid-Dec. I asked, "is this 2022 or 2023?" The manager smiled and said 2022. I told him these dates keep changing so that wasn't a joke question. Also, they will not refund my money but instead told me to wait. How long I must wait? Manager said I cannot get a refund, but I can select another item that IS IN STOCK. I did not want the other items; I want what I purchased.People, take your business elsewhere!!!Did not deal with Galleria Furniture and their partner ****** Furniture!!!They lie about their in-stock, delivery times, and fail to mention their "No Refund" policy!!!Please avoid the headache.
