  ********************* is a real estate agent and he is also renting properties. We were recent renters at this landlords rental property and had a very poor experience. The rental unit was extremely dirty and in poor condition. The rental property had mold in the apartment and in the basement. There was no individual heat thermostat in the unit. Temperatures were regulated through other neighbor apartments. There were multiple code violations in the rental property and it was rented to more individual residents as registered with the ***************. The landlord also uses a fake address which is not registered with the ***************. Our rental contract included on property parking, but the landlord refused to provide us with parking on the property. We have been requesting a refund for our paid parking fees and have not received it to this date. There was intolerable noise in the rental unit from other tenants and also from poor noise insulation from a water softener system. The landlord did nothing to mitigate those problems, instead he made up a noise complaint against us, while we were not even present at the apartment. The landlord was mean and disrespectful, yelling and intimidating. There was also concern that each of those rented units do not provide appropriate safety standards, such as fire exits, heating and cooling, adequate ventilation and plumbing in bathrooms and kitchens. There was also concern about inadequate electrical wiring to handle the extra electrical load from all those residents, causing increased fire hazard and unsafe living conditions. We ultimately had to move out of the rental unit, because of unacceptable conditions and behavior of the landlord. We are requesting a refund of our last month rent from December 2022, because of intolerable living conditions as described above. We are also requesting a refund of 70$ monthly parking fees from August to December 2022, which had been paid monthly included in our rent, but no on property parking was provided, although written in the contract.

  Homestead Realty does not own any rental properties nor do we provide property management services. We provide services only related to the purchase and sale of real estate. ************ rented a property owned by *********************. **** is a licensed real estate agent with Homestead Realty however the property was owned & leased by **** personally and Homestead Realty does not have any part in our agents leasing out their own properties. This complaint has absolutely nothing to do with Homestead Realty; *********** has only made the complaint with our company due to our association with *********************. We have nothing to do with this situation and kindly request to be absolved from this complaint.
