The Kuschel and Kuschel business card says he serves the elderly and handicapped. I'm an 85-year-old widow. I called him to raise and level my front steps and to remove brick pavers from my entryway and sidewalk and replace it with concrete. He came out October 6, 2023 with a proposal and wanted all $4000 upfront. I offered him half, and he refused. He wanted it all upfront. I paid an additional $531 for the concrete. He left two guys at my house to remove the pavers, which they did in about one and a half hours. He left them there an additional 2 to 3 hours before picking them up. He wanted to pour the concrete in the spring. With the pavers gone, I wouldnt have been able to use my front door or breezeway door for 7 months due to the drop-off. I asked him to do it sooner, and he agreed. He scheduled to have the concrete poured on a day when heavy rain was forecasted. It started raining before they were even halfway done. It looks really bad. The concrete ran down towards the grass. Its lumpy and uneven, causing a tripping hazard. He used my pavers instead of wooden forms. He said I wanted him to use the pavers, but I did not. I wanted them gone. My storm door cant open all the way because the concrete is too tall. **** runs under the door into my breezeway. Theres a gap in the corner of the entryway. He used expansion material between all 6 slabs that will leave gaps when it rots away. My front steps arent level. He took my patio blocks that I was using in my flowerbed to raise the steps. He left a significant pile of rocks on each side of my steps which is in my flower bed.He told me hed be back in May to fix the concrete. He wanted me to sign a paper, and I told him I wasnt going to because the work wasnt done. He told me again to sign it. I felt pressured, so I signed it. He didn't leave me a copy. I called him in the spring to remind him to come fix it. He came over unexpectedly and said he wasnt going to do anything because I signed the paper.
