- Advertising Review:
On April 8, 2025, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) contacted Village Caregiving, LLC regarding multiple advertising concerns found on the company’s website.
According to the BBB Code of Advertising, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising lies with the advertiser, who must be prepared to substantiate any objective claims before publication. Upon request, the advertiser should promptly present such substantiation to the advertising medium or the BBB.
While the business has been cooperative in modifying most claims, the following concerns remain unresolved:
1. Claim: "Village Caregiving is the largest privately owned home care agency in the country": Substantiation for this superlative claim has not been provided (BBB Code of Advertising - Section 28. Objective Superlative Claims)2. Statement: "Google Symbol Rated 4.8+ by 1600 Verified, Happy Consumers": The actual Google listing shows a 4.9 average from approximately 90 reviews. No evidence was provided to support the "1600 Verified Customers" claim. (BBB Code of Advertising -Section 20: Testimonials and Endorsements)
3. Use of "Best of Home Care – Provider of Choice" logo from Activated Insights (formerly Home Care Pulse): The BBB verified that the business has not received this award and requested removal of the logo.
As of April 28, 2025, the business has failed to respond to the BBB with the requested substantiation, or to modify or remove these claims from its website.
