We contracted Trinity Tree Service in April, 2022. As of June 2023, They have still not cut our tree. In the process of trimming our neighbor's tree (our neighbor contracted Trinity MONTHS after us), they tore up our front yard and have yet to come and fix it. When we would call, they would always say "We haven't forgotten you" or "in the next week or so". It's now been 14 MONTHS and our tree has yet to be cut. We finally just cancelled. Terrible experience. Couldn't recommend to anyone!

There is always two sides of a story. Here is the complete story. The client's are correct in that we have had their job to remove a large Maple tree and grind out the stump in their backyard for over a year now. We also had another job to do for them which was completed this past November 2022. The second job was to trim two Maple trees in their front yard. That was able to be accomplished because we could access the trees from their driveway and road with our bucket truck and chipper and not get on their yard which was wet. The reason we could not get to the tree in the backyard was because of the wet conditions we have had since May 2022. We have had one of the wettest years since 2003 here in West Virginia. We did some other work for the client in their backyard in May of 2020. When grinding out some stumps there, we created some turf disturbance that the client was not happy with. When we contracted the removal of the Maple in April of 2022, we explained to them that it had to be dry, very dry to do their work so the yard wasn't disturbed again. All of last year was wet, then winter was wet and most of Spring was wet. There was a dry time the first part this past April. Probably the driest part of April we have had in a long time as "April Showers" usually prevail. In talking to our operations manager, our schedule would have allowed us to do their job in the first part of April, but ironically, they sent us an email to not do the work while they were on vacation until the 12th of April. After that it rained again. I know the client's have mentioned there was probably a day some where that we could have done their job and I'm sure there was. Unfortunately, we are a small company and must have been tied up on another job some where in Southern West Virginia and could not have demobilized from it to remobilize back to the same job later. We try to stay on a job to get it completed before we move on to another job. And then the rain would come again. I empathize with the clients as I am a home owner too. They saw us working in their neighborhood since we contracted their work. I went to their door to let them know we haven't forgot them. They asked why we couldn't get to their work. Once again, we explained that it HAD TO BE DRY before we could get equipment in their back yard and the neighbors' work was all accessible off the road or driveways or where their one neighbor was okay getting in his backyard because of an emergency where a tree blew over in a storm. As to the trimming of the adjoining neighbor's tree next door and the turf disturbance of our client's yard. Guilty. The neighbor had a HUGE Poplar tree in front (accessible from road) that endangered both houses. When we trimmed our client's tree this past November, I talk to the adjoining neighbor about the situation. The Poplar tree had a large leader (limb) hanging over our client's roof. It was my suggestion to have a "Crown Reduction" of the tree and totally remove the leader over our client's roof. The neighbor agreed to do the job. Both houses are now safer. There was no thanks from our client about what was taken place about making their house safer. The only thing we heard was about the yard needing repaired and it did need to be repaired. (side note: This is what would have happened in the backyard if we attempted to get equipment in it to remove the Maple tree). It was Trinity Tree Services intention to bring some topsoil, seed and straw when we came to remove the Maple. Our client (or should I say past client) has since cancelled the Maple tree removal. They sent an email to us this past Sunday (06/11/23) to have the lawn repaired or they would do it and send us a bill for it. I responded to them (via voicemail) on Monday morning and told them it would be repaired by Monday 06/19. Then on Monday 06/12 I saw this complaint (The only one to BBB since we have been in business) . This is our response to it.
