I signed a contract wit* **** ***** of Biltwell Enterprises on October 13, 2020 and handed over a deposit check for $3,917 for a siding and front porch repair project. The contract stated that work would being in 4-6 weeks. That timeframe passed, and I had to reach out to **** *o check on the project. For months, I had to track him down and ask about the project, and he always had an excuse for some kind of supply or labor delay. He did minimal work on the porch repair, nailing boards around the edge to prepare for concrete. Twice. And the siding repair was nowhere in sight. On July 12, 2021, I texted **** that I wanted the porch and siding finished by the end of July, a clear deadline. No response, and no scheduled work date. Week after week, he kept saying someone was going to get out there to finish the porch, and it never happened. On August 16, 2021, I asked for a refund. I texted again on September 8, 2021 and asked if he had an office I could visit because I still hadn't gotten my refund from him. On September 9, 2021, we agreed on an even $3,500 refund to account for the boards and nails on the porch. I was angry on September 23, 2021 and threatened legal action because I still did not have my refund. He sent me a $1,000 check on September 27, 2021. I had to keep contacting him to get more of my money. I got another $1,000 check on October 14, 2021. I am still waiting on my final $1,500 refund amount. I reach out to him every other week, and he says he has to get checks from other clients before he can pay me back. If my money didn't go toward my repair project, then where did it go? He has obviously used my money to cover himself. I do not want this to carry over in 2022. I simply want my remaining $1,500 refund, and I want him held accountable. He should not be allowed to continue as a business.
