May 26, 2022 ****** ******** was paid 6300$ for final materials to finish the basement work in our home. He has not shown up for work consistently and as a result this project has been ongoing for 3 years. In addition to these issues he has been unable to provide any labor costs or provide itemized receipts for completed and anticipated work. We decided to end our working relationship with Mr. Reynolds and begin our search to find someone else who could perform the job and work consistently. Mr. Reynolds cannot provide proof of supplies ordered. We have asked for pictures and receipts of materials ordered and he has not been able to provide documentation. We have also offered Mr. Reynolds the opportunity to refund our money via store credit if he did in fact purchase any items and he cannot commit to a resolution. We are seeking a resolution before pursuing legal action with an attorney or filing a fraud complaint with our bank for the check he cashed and cannot provide proof of material purchase or refund of money.

Before agreeing to finish the *********s basement on or about 4/15/2020 I made sure to point out that speed or a quick turnaround would not be likely. Other than our company being only the wife and I, with an occasional available subcontractor, that we have 2 property management companies which we have reoccurring contractual obligations with and will need to respond to their service requests. To my knowledge we set no deadlines or made any promises about a deadline. Other factors delaying progress include but aren't limited to: multiple covid suspensions-vacations/sick days-weather problems-power outages-our handicapped daughter not being capable of preschool full time, (which left my wife unavailable), we even suspended operations for a number of months for family matters. I regret the length of time involved in this situation.

As for labor and material costs of completed work it's my understanding that those documents were provided, we will attach those documents. As for the current work of installing the flooring a proposal was available but it's my understanding that it was not clear and has caused confusion. The floor itself including underlayment/vapor barrier was purchased a while ago with a downpayment provided by the *********s for approximately $4700. When I submitted the labor and materials estimate for the installation of the flooring totaling $3116.00 the confusion was about materials: as the flooring and underlayment had already been paid and delivered I didn't think it needed to be included: the "materials" that are being referred to are the floor leveling compound and transition strips.

In regards to documents of future work, largely finish carpentry and painting, they were both in the process of being assembled. It was within the last couple weeks that we determined if I was going to be doing any painting or carpentry in the bathroom. It was at that time I then knew how many square feet of paint and how many linear foot of carpentry to estimate. Knowing this we could adjust or notes/numbers in a proposal and be more accurate.

As well I have a list of additional service requests I have been asked to preform which have been completed.

      Better Business Bureau:

      Good Afternoon,

This is in reference to the complaint filed against Anything 4 2 Daughters Construction.

I reviewed the response from this business and what was not addressed was the 6300$ that was given to him via check with ‘final materials’ noted in the memo section to purchase items for stairs and doors. We have paid Mr. ******** over 50,000.00$ in labor costs and materials. We would pay Mr. ******** when the project was near completion. Currently nothing we have paid him for his entirely complete and we are having to move forward with another company to finish the work he left undone  that he was paid for as well as the remaining work that needs to be completed.

We have asked multiple times for the money back or even proof that the final materials were ordered so that we can have it delivered to our home or the order transferred in our name. We have offered canceling the order and providing us with store credit so we can purchase materials ourself with the new company and Mr. ******** talks in circles or is not responsive to our requests.

He has not been able to provide proof of the ordered materials, only estimated quotes.  I will provide in a second e mail the conversations had with Mr. ******** about our requests.

      ******* ********
