I placed an order for a Subaru Legacy in December 2021. I received the car in March 2022. I purchased the paint protection. In June 2022 I noticed issues with the paint. I contacted the local dealership and make arrangements to drop off the car. The dealership had my car until September 2022. In the time span I was told that the paint protection warranty would not cover the issue. The dealership did request permission to paint the hood of the car. There is a crease in the paint and my car has scratches that wasn’t there when I dropped it off. The issue with the paint was not corrected throughout the car. I asked to go ahead and take my car. I was told that someone from the corporate office would have to come and look at the car. It is now October 2022 and the issue has not been resolved.

Dutch Miller Subaru has reached out to the customer directly, and has facilitated the manufacturer's (Subaru) contact with the customer toward potential resolution.  The customer has been pleased with Dutch Miller Subaru's assistance in connecting her with the manufacturer.

I dropped my car at the Dutch miller Subaru body shop on December 8th,2021 at this time my parts needed to be ordered. On January 3rd my insurance adjuster reached out to the body shop regarding my car and it’s completion they said they had all parts and should be finished by the end of the week. On January 10th they discovered they needed more parts and was supposed to send the information over to my insurance company at this point it took them several weeks to get that information to them. I have been over there every couple of weeks for a update it’s always all my parts are in and it’s in the process of being worked on or it’s they are waiting for another part to come in. Here it is March 10th and I have not received my car. I do have one of there loaner vehicles they have no license plates for them they where stolen in the times I’ve been over there concerning my car I’ve asked have they received licenses plates the answer is always no. I got pulled over by the Charleston police department they were nice they called the body shop and told them they need to get a license plates. It’s just been a disaster. I’ve never had trouble with a body shop before.

Here's the response sent from the General Manager at the Subaru location:

On ******* the 2019 CHEV Cruze the reason we have had her car for so long is we had the fender apron that was on backorder and we didn't receive it in till end of February  then we started reassembly and that is when we found that the front frame rail was bent left side so then we called the insurance to let them know and they told us to stop work and they would send someone out to inspect it to see if the vehicle was totaled or not because if it was bent a lot then it would be totaled so they didn't come out for about a week and a half or two weeks to inspect it but inspecter and *** measured it and the inspector said that he would go back and discuss it with his team and they would let us know a couple days later they sent us and supplement for the work to fix it so *** put it on the pull machine and started pulling the rail so he can get the car reassembled and out of here but I want to add that she has been in one of Dutch Millers loaner cars.
