***** *****, owner of A&F Enterprise, LLC installed a furnace in my home on February 29,2022. He emailed a quote for $2700 which I verbally accepted on the phone. After installing the furnace and when he was leaving he refused to give a receipt/invoice for the work that had been completed. I asked him to provide one and he said he would have his "secretary" send it to me. I have since found out Mr. ***** does not have an office or a secretary. I waited two days for an email for the invoice which I did not receive. I texted him and emailed him to request the invoice again. Again, I did not get a response. I then called him to inquire again and he said he was busy and that I should stop harassing him. I need the invoice to receive compensation from my warranty company and for my personal records. I wrote two checks made out to *** ***** personally as he did not want them made out to the business. One check was for $1350 and one was for $1450 which included charges for a furnace filter that I was unable to use. He told me too bad I was stuck with it. I do not understand why anyone would refuse to to provide a receipt or invoice unless he has a business that is not registered and is not paying taxes on the income he receives.
