2/1/2022 approximately 9:15 pm Wendys at: 1503 Locust Ave Fairmont, WV 26554 304 366 2919 Last night, after working 14 and a half straight hours, I went through the drive-through at Wendy’s, in Fairmont, WV, to pick up dinner. I ordered a double Baconator combo, large size, with sierra mist, a Dave’s single combo, with no onion, large size, with sprite, and a six piece nuggets with barbecue sauce. I drove home, spent about 20 minutes unloading gear from my car, and finally got to sit down for dinner. I was very disappointed to see that there was no Baconator included with my meal. The Dave’s single and the nuggets were there, but rather than a Baconator, there was a plain cheeseburger, with tomato, onion, and mayo – all things I had no interest in eating. I was not given a receipt with my meal. Not getting dinner was disappointing, but I surely did not want to get dressed again, and go back out in the cold, to get my dinner remade. I called the store and spoke with Logan. Logan was friendly, and apologetic. I was courteous to Logan. He said he would write my info down, and I could get a refund, tomorrow. Today (2/2/2022), around 3:00 pm, I went back to the same Wendy’s, and explained what happened. I wasn’t very excited about having to make a special trip there, but unfortunately I did not pay with a credit card, so I could not dispute the transaction. When I arrived, the woman who appeared to be the manager was on the phone, so I had to wait. After 5-10 minutes, when she got off the phone, I was told they do not give refunds there. She offered to have the mean remade. I had just eaten lunch, not only was this a special trip, it was a wasted trip! Had they not lied to me, last night, about receiving a refund, I wouldn’t have wasted my time and my gas money, for nothing. When I left, I called the Wendy’s corporate phone line. I waited on hold for almost a half an hour, before I spoke to a woman who took my info. I originally just wanted reimburCustomer response

Better Business Bureau:
I was told I would be given a refund. I took a half hour off work and drove there, to get my refund, and was then told they don't give refunds. I contacted the corporate office. The next day, someone called me and I was again told I would be given a refund. I took another half an hour off work, drove there again, and did get my refund. Between the hour of work I missed and the gas money, I ended up losing money on the refund. Because of this, I am in no way satisfied with the resolution. Had they not lied to me and made me make a wasted trip, I would have been satisfied. Please close this as unsatisfied.
