brought mercury motor to rats in march 22. thanking me for coming in early. end of APRIL they finally got the boat fixed, so they said. all labor except for plugs and a primer ball which i didnt need. first time out, motor still has same problem. take boat back out of water and tow to have it fixed again. again taking weeks. finally got it back. and the problem is worse. its now july. ive lost 400 on slip rental. rats wont answer the phone, from what i can see, from other reports he is lying to me. over and over. AND not to mention first time there and they break my wind deflector. promising to replace, i had to find one, and was told paid for and shipped, a month ago and still nothing but lies. this is crazy. now family is here for a week and no boat. stay away from rats.Business response

Repairs were made to the boat. It was tested and performing correctly when it left the shop. The customer had the boat for three weeks and then returned the boat stating it was worse than before. We could not fined any issues after running the boat. The customer was not charged. He reported the windshield broken after he left the shop. A broken windshield should have been reported prior to taking possession of the boat and leaving the lot. The customer called back to say we damaged the windshield. We did not damage it, but we could not prove it, so we ordered a new one. We are not in control of shipping. The customer has never discussed these concerns in person.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
called and left message I was coming to get boat. Since he never answered the phone, ever until he knows who it is. Went to get boat yesterday, but owner not there. No refund of hundreds of dollars paid, boat still sitting the exact spot I left it two weeks ago, and it was to be a rush right away since the last 3 attempts did not fix. And contact is BS and he knows it, and does it on purpose. nothing ever is answered via ********, phone is never answered, just call back when he doesn't know who it is. never listened to any of my messages, and admits it. I had family coming from ****** for this week and I explained that and was assured it would be fixed. but after two weeks, no calls, no response from my calls, to business phone and cell phone. So this always available is a total lie. You can send refund of payment to my address you have it or you can call me and get it, or send a message on ******** or any other way you say you can. If you refund I will not talk about you again.
