    Advertising Review:

    On February 6 and 15, 2023, BBB contacted the company regarding issues found on the company website, bluetieapplianceguy.com. The company was asked to modify, substantiate or discontinue the claims based on BBB's Code of Advertising.

    1. “We guarantee we will fix the issue and it will stay fixed for a year or you don’t pay a dime.” 

    Based on the Warranties or Guarantees section of the BBB's Code of Advertising, BBB recommended adding a statement to the website explaining the complete details of the “fixed for a year” guarantee.  

    2a. “If you’re not satisfied, we guarantee that we will send out another technician or refund 100% of 
           the money you paid to us.”
      b. “QUALITY ASSURANCE With our consumer protection plan if you aren't happy with your service 
           we will return your money. If you aren't happy you don't pay.”

    Based on the Warranties or Guarantees section, BBB asked if the company refunds the full purchase price of the advertised products or service at the consumer's request each and every time. If the company does stand by a satisfaction guarantee, up to a full refund, BBB recommended adding any material limitations or conditions that apply to their satisfaction guarantee, clearly and conspicuously, to the company website for consumer review. If the company does not wish to include a satisfaction guarantee up to and including a full refund, each and every time, BBB recommended modifying the statements. BBB also recommended explaining the conditions of when and who decides if a technician comes back out or if money is refunded for statement a. BBB asked if the two statements contradict one another.

    3. “Lowest Price Guarantee”

    Based on the Warranties or Guarantees and Price equaling, meeting competitors’ prices sections, BBB recommended adding any material and significant conditions that apply to the company’s best price guarantee to the website for consumer review. This should include any evidence the consumer must present to take advantage of the offer.

    I wish I could give zero stars. Scheduled a visit. Paid 255.00 for diagnostic. Returned with the wrong part. Rescheduled twice. No show both times. Derek P**** was the service person. We never received the correct part and my husband repaired our appliance himself. He is disabled. We were robbed and deceived and told the business closed. The business is not closed but definitely should be.
