In the past 10 years I have purchased pellet stove pellets from this business. I have also paid to store each ton of pellets on their property for additional money. In years past I have never had to gather any unused pellets that I have already purchased and removed from their facility by a date. I went in on Monday 8/15/2022 and the manager of the store informed me that the pellets that I have purchased that were on hold, that they were storing for me, that I’ve already paid for and paid a storage fee for each ton of pellets which were a remainder of 95 bags were unable to be gathered and taken from there that he had destroyed them and had destroyed my paperwork. I went in to speak to the gentleman regarding the pellets and wanted an explanation as to why in years past I’ve never had to gather them by May 31 but this year he saying that I am not entitled to get them from the property. If it was just a few bags I wouldn’t have a big deal about it but considering that it’s 95 bags which is 2 ton of pellets valued at $600+! The gentlemen stated that he didn’t have any of my paperwork, which is what they document the number of pellets that have been picked up. But in fact he did have every one of the papers saying the amount of pellets that I have stored. The young lady that was working the register had every intention on allowing me to get them but he came out of the office and was very ignorant and loud, saying that I needed to read the receipt and that I was not able to get the pellets because they had already been destroyed! The parking lot has hundreds of pallets of pellets stored outside and I know he did not throw any pellets away. He kept saying how he had lost money but I asked how did he lose money when I had already paid for each ton of pellets and the storage price. I asked him could I get the 95 bags that day and I would purchase two more ton for this winter. He refused!! I want what is owed to me, Either the 95 bags of pellets or the value of them!
