Slumlords. This place is run down, filthy and down right disgusting. Hallways have something spilled or blood not sure what it is but it is all over the place from third floor down to main door. Breezeway looks like a rat hole. Garbage flowing in breeze. Dumpsters full and apartment completely nasty on move in day. No response from corporate down to management. I have called. Texted. Emailed and posted on ******** pages. No response. Huge mistake renting here. DO NOT RECOMMEND. . I’m livid.

I wish I could leave a 0 star rating for this complex. It is the absolute worst place I have lived at during my time at WVU. To start my semester, I received a key that did not work for my bedroom door (nor did it work for either of my roommates' doors). This was the night before school started and I was locked out of my bedroom the entire night. I called emergency maintenance 5 times and no one ever showed up, even after I was told they were on their way. I never received a mail key or a key to my building during the entirety of my stay here. So anyone could walk into my building as they pleased. Multiple cars were broken into during my, almost, 12 months at The Ridge. They don't have parking passes, so on football weekends (or even just random days throughout the week) I had to park 4-5 buildings away from where I lived and walked home from there in the dark when the spots in front of my building were full. When I signed my lease, I was paying between 450 and 500 dollars for rent each month. By the end of my lease, I was paying 600 dollars a month and no one could seem to tell me why. These are merely a few of so many issues I had while living at The Ridge. Not to mention, when I moved out early because I couldn't take it anymore (while still paying rent) someone had moved into my room. So I was essentially paying for another person to live there. I was charged $180 for the mess they left in my bedroom, even after I put all of this random person's items in the living room, locked the door and turned in my key. With that being said, I urge you to live absolutely anywhere else. It is a scam, it is completely unsafe, and no matter how desperate you are for housing...this is NOT the place to live!

This is the worst place I have ever lived. PLEASE READ ALL 1.) The manager doesn’t respond to emails 2.) there was mold and such in the bathroom prior to move in and apartment was dirty 3.) they failed to send a pre-move in form to report damages then charged me for the damages after. 4.) they put me with a roommate that I told them I was uncomfortable with that had a video camera up without my permission and recorded me naked and the faculty did nothing about it. 5.) overcharged me on rent numerous times. 6.) pool hasn’t been opened in years 7.) never told about utilities and wasn’t told that I’d be charged twice for them in one month 8.) staff is rude and misleading. Please don’t let anyone rent from here!!!!

1 star Bc I had to. So many issues with this. Please read all.. 1-I signed my lease in August after I had a home fire and needed a new place. I was subletting and was supposecharged their rate not current rate ($120 difference). 2-Days after signing, still no current lease with the current rate. 3-I called 2xs a day for a month. The office never answered and never returned calls. I Facebook messaged, e mailed and called nonstop. 4-I signed in august and move in date October 1. I was charged rent for august and September and the current rate, not what I signed. 5-move in date: October 1. I packed 2 cars full, drove 45 mins for move in. I get there and there’sa sign on the door saying office is closed. I called the only number there was, routed to an answering service and told they would try to call the office. I said I’m standing in front of the front doors. No one is here. They insisted on calling, only to come back 2 mins later to tell me they’re closed. I had to threaten police to break the lock to get my key. 45 mins later 6-apt is FILTHY upon move in. 7-I’m told I need to clean the other bathroom. I don’t use it. 8-4 visits in 1 1/2 weeks. Only 1 notified of. 9-I was issued a smoking tobacco indoors violation. I do not smoke cigarettes. They removed the fine but would not remove the violation. It took 5 e mails and a PROMISE of filing a discrimination suit with ADA to get them to 10-they never respond to e mails or calls 11-pool hasn’t been open in 3 years 12-tanning only open from 9-5 M-F 13-I wasn’t told of what utilities and how to pay them 14-4 days later, I still was not listed in their account as a tenant 15- 1 month + later, my lease says TBD unit, no apt # assigned. 16-They come in when they want with no notice or respect to privacy. 17-1 month + later, I still don’t have a key fob to access the gym. This place is disgusting, neighbors are LOUD and the staff is unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Don’t rent here!!!!

Horrible place. 1. The manager does not respond to emails or calls. 2. They scam you into showing a place that looks nothing like the unit you actually end up renting. 3. They claim to match you with ‘ideal roommates’ and I ended up with the complete opposite of what I asked for. 4. The place was dirty, and no one was available to clean it because it was so- called ‘off-season’ , none of this was told in prior conversations. 5. No one was available even after a cleaning request was made. 6. Lied about shuttle hours which affected my ability to go to work on time. 7. Keep sending rogue emails with a different amount of rent each time. 8. Exploits students, my roommates had similar complaints. 9. Had a nightmare experience. Maggie was used to heal a chip on the wall in the room I was in. Cat hair covered all furniture surfaces and cat pee found in the shower.
