A date was scheduled for cherry eye surgery for my English Bulldog for 12/28/23 after I both received an estimate via email and reminded Dr. Fraley I would see him for this surgery while I was at the vet with another of my dogs. The morning of surgery after I had dropped the dog off and went to work, I received a phone call from the doctor stating he did not know why this surgery was scheduled with him because he usually refers these types of surgeries to another doctor. He stated his way of doing the surgery he cannot guarantee the cherry eyes won't return. Having had experience with past dogs and this surgery I explained I had confidence the doctor would do his best with what he was trying to accomplish which was eliminating the cherries in my dogs eyes. This was not done. As you can see in the picture the cherries never went away they were just very inflamed after surgery which I was assured by vet tech at Pinnacle Bella ****** that they would go down. They are clearly visable still and have turned a black color which is very undesireable for a dog I was possibly planning to breed. This can be seen in the latest pic I have attached. I had to open a new credit card to pay for this unsuccessful surgery which is also costing me interest. I feel it only fair that my money be returned because the cherries never went away which proves the doctors method is not one he should be performing.Business response

The day of the surgery, before I performed the surgery I spoke with the client and told her that with English bulldogs there is a high risk of reoccurrence of cherry eye or pgnm with the traditional pocket imbrication procedure. I recommended the dog see an ophthalmologist to have the orbital rim tacking procedure done by a specialist. She elected to have it done here against Doctor's recommendations.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me only after the records of my animals are forwarded to my home address of *** **** ***n Rd., ************* ** *****. I will not use this veterinary practice in the future and will warn friends, family, and especially dog breeders I work with to steer clear of Pinnacle. They have no business working with breeds such as English and French Bulldogs that require such surgeries as entropion correction or cherry eye.
