    Booked this hotel stay on **********. When straight in to check in and the lady at the front desk (Very nice, but under trained) told us that she didn't know how to check us in. She said that we would have to wait until her boss called her because she called and no answer so she had to fax him (yea crazy)! When the owner finally called, he stated that we would have to pay the taxes on the room. We showed the lady our receipt and confirmation email that stated that we paid the taxes and the whole balance for the room. Mind you that we are in the middle of a snow and ice storm! The owner argued with us via telling the poor girl at the front desk to tell us that we had to pay more. The owner was very demanding and we asked for a refund but that wasn't happening. Our car ran outside over an hour wasting gas and lots of time. We were treated so poorly. I called ********** and they had to call the hotel twice to get them to agree to let us have the room. We then had to put down a $100.00 cash deposit, which we did get back the next morning. The room was a suite.... yuck! The tub was brown inside the water that ran in the tub was brown also and the carpet was straight up disgusting! For the price of these old rooms, this place should be shut down! This place has potential but I don't see the owners (foreign) doing any updates. The only thing going up and changing is their rates! NEVER AGAIN!!! My husband works that are 2 weeks at a time and we will be taking our business somewhere else and spreading the work to the *** * *** **** Workers NOT TO WASTE THIER HARD EARNED MONEY!

    If one can review from a to z twice, he/she can easily figure it out that the only crime the hotel committed to displease the guest was to ask the guest to pay municipal and city lodging taxes not a penny more or any rate change for any revenue gain. It is just because ********* only collected state taxes and all we asked them to pay was the uncollected lodging taxes which ********* has no idea what different municipalities and townships collect as per their local laws from their guests coming to the hotels in that areas. The funny thing is that amount was just $7 total for which guest made such a big deal, the money which was going straight to taxing bodies and NOT hotel pockets. The guest said at the front desk even before getting the keys for the suite that they will put bad review in ********** and also in BBB so everyone can see room complaints are already fabricated because they did not even see the room and intended to put the bad review! How mean, nasty and dishonest attitude it is! Absolutely nothing is true in the so called reviewed” which is based upon only one factor that owners are “FOREIGN” people and that is the bottom line, so automatically everything is wrong even before stepping into the room. Pure example of this southern West Virginia racism which all West Virginia knows very well that southern West Virginia will never get over it! Hotel management got involved and not only had the guest checked in without paying a single dime extra but sent not 1 but 2 apology notes to her email address. Even used the word “please forgive us”. However apologies are only for decent people with high moral status and nothing else hotel could do to please them. Just because they made up their mind since the hotel is owned by foreign people and they are asking for a mount of $7 dollars for municipal taxes. They call ********** and called the supervisor of ********* even if they did not pay a single dime and hotel NEVER refused to check them in. Now they are happy to put a bad review which is 100 percent untrue and false in BBB and in *********, don’t know what kind of happiness they received with this fabrication! At the time of check out the next day at 11:40 am we asked if there room was okay and if any problems? They said clearly that there was no problems at all except the check in time and we apologized again, that was the 3rd time apologizing, but like we said apology is for decent people with a bigger heart to accept apology for which we did nothing wrong to begin with however we apologized anyway total of 3 times. The suite they received is priced at $135.95 plus taxes comes out to be $156.60 which they got for $76.40 plus tax totaling $88.70 that is all we are going to get from ********* if we ever get and when we are going to get. They did not pay a penny to the hotel but they wanted to refund the entire amount to them even if they paid to ********* and all we received was a piece of paper. It shows there height of intellectuality! However they are at the top of putting a false review and calling everyone they could, because we asked for $7 dollars local taxes but we happen to be FOREIGN owned business that was the only offense we did! There is no dirty carpet in that suite, no brown water or brown Jacuzzi. Health Dept. comes and checks the rooms several times a year and they are suggesting this place should be closed down because of their accusations. If they room was that bad how come they stayed up till 20 minutes less of check out time all day and all night that is the proof that there was nothing wrong in the room and everything working like it is suppose to by paying $88.70 for $156.60 room. So ungrateful and thankless rather mean and arrogant and of course racist, because everything would have been fine if owner is not “foreign’ as per there review and objections. All we have here is oil and gas and drillers all the time and no one ever complains because we provide best for their buck they do not discriminate against us just because we are foreign and doing an honest living by following all the laws which they did not by not paying the local taxes.
