      I had flooring installed by this company in early 2021, among other things. I paid 10k for the flooring and installation. Since that time, they have had to come back to fix it several times where it was coming up or installed incorrectly. Last year, they sent someone out after my 5th complaint. They were unwilling to do any fixes despite the lifetime warranty of the flooring, but they did send someone out from the manufacturer to document the issues. I attempted to contact them several times after that and received no response. There is an actual tripping hazard in one of the bedrooms. The flooring is chipped in several places and bowing in others. And now I discover that after the manufacturer rep was here, the company filed for bankruptcy? I would like to be refunded for the expense. At least the cost of the flooring since the quality is clearly subpar despite their reassurance that it was their best. My decades old cheap laminate held up better.

      While MOV Contracting was working on our home, our home was broken into and we were robbed. Guns and jewelry were stolen, and we contracted them to repair the door and replace the original door with a steel door. We paid half the price of replacement and labor costs. Date: 9/2/2022 Amount paid: $1,670.00, which was 1/2 the cost. The check has been cashed. We have contacted the business for a date of completion, but we have never heard from them.

      On January 21, 2022 my wife and I signed on a proposal to renovate two bathrooms in our home. A 50% deposit of $10,838 was provided via check to them to secure our place in their work queue and allow them to begin procuring materials. I was informed they had several jobs ahead of ours and it would take time to get materials with the COVID supply chain issued. We were told to expect a multi-month wait. We accepted. I checked in with them in early spring and was told materials were still an issue and there were other jobs still ahead of us. I accepted that and waited. Late summer I checked in before moving my daughter into college. Was told we were near the top of the list and the last of my materials were finally arriving. Early September I emailed them to check on the timing and to let them know we had illness in the house, so it may be best to hold off a week or two if we were up next. I got no response to my email. I emailed again asking for an update. No response. I then called and left messages that were not returned. Finally I took time off work and went to their offices. They were locked and no one appeared to be there. I am looking for a refund of my deposit. My bank shows the check was deposited the same day we provided it to them.

      03/07/2022 I received the Proposal from MOV Contracting the amount on the proposal total was $13,900 they asked for a deposit of half that amount in order to get on the work list. a check of $6950 was sent and cashed out on 3/17 according to bank statement. They stated that the job would begin in September (mid). Mid September I called and was told that they were behind on some jobs and that it could be later, and that their distributor for the sink/vanity was out of business and I was told it would take longer if they had to get a replacement. I told them I would get the vanity and sink. I was told that price would be taken off the total. I have since called and not received any call backs about the job. I have the vanity, the lights, the mirror and the shower and sink faucets ready for installation and remodel, but no contractor.

      Contracted MOV Contracting for 2 bathroom remodels, celling repair, and basement wall repair and repaint. Paid a 50% deposit of $11,327.50 on October 2021. Project was delayed several months from anticipated start date of April-May 2022. Communication about start date was poor and had to contact them Monthly to get an update. Work began on Aug 15, 2022. Work began ok on upstairs bathroom. Bathroom was considered complete less sink top which was said to be delayed on Sept 1. Made a complaint that paint was thin in needing of another coat of paint. Contractor said they would take care of it. Paint job was poor quality after recoat noticed several other quality issues as well. Began celling repair and basement wall repair, and repaint. Both items were done poorly and low quality work. Celling had a large amount of paint brush fibers in it and texture has higher than normal porosity. Basement stairs are has very poor quality joint compound repairs that are not flat and were painted over. Again, paint job is very poor quality. Also in the the course of the bathroom remodel, a small water leak discolored a celling in another room not having work completed on it. Was offered to have celling repainted, paint job is incomplete and has an area of missing paint. Last day of work for MOV was 09/08. Home was left in disarray (light fixtures hanging, wall rail disconnected, etc) No attempts by MOV Contracting was made to inform me of the impeding schedule. Contacted several times via Email and phone calls with little response. Upstairs bathroom still has no sink and is not useable.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      I don't know what other actions can completed, but I have calculated up the value of the work that is incomplete to be $3250.03. If they can get me that I would be happy, otherwise I will have to wait for the letter that is going to be provided by their lawyer.
