Best care in ER, in ICU, and on 3rd floor. They were all professional and kind to me and my elderly roommate. They saved my life. Highly recommend.

Arrived 6/10/21 around 130 pm to the ER. Literally could not walk, the security guard got a wheelchair and pushed me in. While desk attendant was checking me in I had extreme pain come to my legs and buttocks area. Condition has lasted several months and seemed misdiagnosed as sciatica or I had the worse case ever. During the extremely painful episode I told the older desk male attendant I had to lay on floor and push against something as it was the only thing that gave relief. I laid down, writhing in pain when the triage nurse came by and said he’s gonna have to move. The desk attendant told her I was having extreme sciatica pain and the nurse mockingly replied that’sciatica this sciatica he’s gonna have to sciatica out of the way”. No assistance was offered. Out of my mind pain wise I uttered ‘**** you’ one time. The desk attendant then got completely out of control for me saying ‘****’ one time. I I told him I was in extreme pain and that nurse was mocking and making fun of me. If she would stop then I would stop. He said, we aren’t bargaining with anyone. I told him I was in extreme pain and just needed to be seen. He went and got security. I explained the same thing to him. The ‘triage” nurse decided to skip over me for triage without notifying me of her decision. I sat around and waited for 20 more minutes as others who came after me got triaged. The nurse and desk attendant were extremely unprofessional and treated me and my pain like it didn’t matter. It is a shame people like that work there. I requested the nurses name only to be refused. I was going to turn into upper management and apparently no one there wanted that to happen. I returned to MMH Belpre Campus ER 12 hours later to be treated, nicely, primptly, and like I mattered. It turned out my ‘sciatica, sciatica’ was actually a herniated disc in my spine which cause so much pain. I hope this hospital investigates this terrible nurse and the people who backed her up mocking me while I laid helpless on the floor. That day was the worst I have ever seen the hospital workers act. That nurse obviously hates her job!!
