I fronted them $6000 to put tin on the section of roof which is still shingles. 920 sq ft according to them. They were also to do a platform and stairs with handle rails off front porch. Also hand rails on side steps. There were other projects which were discussed. One of the brothers showed up at my work and said my wife was very upset at what they had done. I got home from work and found the basement stairs ripped out and a platform built at the top and the bottom of where they had been. 2 of the brothers were there and when I asked why they were in the basement when the outside work was what we agreed on they said was to cold out. This was 2/18/22. Then they said couldn't build steps to code with platforms I said if you knew wouldn't be up to code why build them. They said my wife had said she would like a platform at top. One was coughing and I jokingly said Covid. They returned on Saturday 2/19/22. They showed up at 8 am and there were 5 of them working until 1 pm. All the while coughing and hacking. Yet said had went and had Covid test. There father came and I assume showed them how to build the steps. Stairs weren't finished and basement door was nailed shut. They returned Monday 2/21/22 and told my wife had to drop 2 employees on another job then would be back. Shortly afterwards called and said wouldn't be back . Headed to Dr.s. My wife and who ever called had a discussion and fired them. The tin they ordered showed up on Tuesday 2/22/22 which cost $2389.96. We received an invoice for a unfinished set of basement stairs which never should of been started yet and the tin for the roof which total $5636.37 . Out of the $6000 fronted I feel the charges should have been a lot less . Any assistance at all would be gladly appreciated due to I had to borrow the money to fix the house up and this puts certain things on hold.
