This has been my worst move (8th one). They asked to extend my pick up to the 31st. I told them that I had to turn over my unit and could not possibly stay another day. They assured me the pick up would be done by 1pm on the 31st (so I could still turn in keys that day and leave to drive our scheduled 5 hours). No movers showed the entire day. We kept our original lodging reservations due to their guarantee (air bnbs). So my wife left with our pets while I had to stay another day for movers. Therefore I had to get a different hotel when leaving to catch up to her. They will not refund me the hotel stay even though they are /directly/ the reason why I had to get it. They then did not deliver my goods by the RDD. Said they do not cover anything until the following day (RDD+1) and I will have to eat the cost of any air mattress, pillow, etc to not sleep on the floor that night. They really care about “DoD guidelines” when it comes to them not covering for your additional expenses and yet say the 16 days they had to deliver by RDD was the military’s set date and not one they guaranteed. I understand DoD guidelines but as a privatized company you could truly do so much to help the servicemembers you claim to care about when you’ve directly put them in positions to lose out on more money during a stressful time.Tier One Relocation LLC Response

Hello *** *********, I am reviewing your move that was awarded to us by ******** with the dates of pk 5/17 load 5/23. On 5/15 you requested we change your pack and load dates as close to 5/29 as we could get. We tried to do our best to accommodate you and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We do follow the govt guidelines to the best of our ability and are working hard to correct any mistakes that may have been made.Review from Collin D

The worst service in my life. Late to pickup, days late to dropoff and would consistently disrespect, hang up on and cuss at my wife and I. Worst staff who will lie and manipulate about this all. Avoid this company. I hope they get disapproved to do military business because they let staff talk to customers terribly while arriving at the end of the day, after DAYS stuck waiting at home because they won’t tell you when they will actually come but will tell you “8AM” multiple days in a row. Incredibly unprofessional.Tier One Relocation LLC Response

Good Morning **** ***,
I would like to take a moment to respond to your comments regarding your move. The scheduled pack date of your household goods was 2/28 and load date of 3/1/24. This is based on the customer estimated and survey weight. The more weight the more time needed to pack your goods. Your weight was few thousand pounds less than estimated so therefore the crew only required one day of packing and did not need to utilized the second day. The driver was already scheduled to load on 3/1. This was not late picking up, just did not need to use the 2nd day. This is according to US Transcom rules and regulations.
I do need to address the cursing and bad customer service you stated above. We at Tier One Relocation record every single phone call incoming and outgoing. I can speak with 100% certainty that you were not speaking with our customer service as we checked our phone logs and do not tolerate that behavior from our employees. However, we are responsible for the agents that service your move and our Network Quality is currently investigating and addressing this with the agent as we will not tolerate this sort of behavior and disrespect.
We apologize for the inconvenience to you and your family and will do our best to ensure this does not happen to another service member.

Its is unbelievable to me that the military would allow companies such as this one to move their servicemembers. What atrocious service they have provided to my daughter and her husband while on their PCS move... it seems to me here is a company who is just out to steal the government's money. There has a to be a way their military contract can be cancelled, our service members deserve so much better than the crap this company!!!Tier One Relocation LLC Response

I am completely shocked at the military use of this company. They ship your items and don't care to really help you replace them if they're broken in transit. In my recent experience, they claimed that because the containers they shipped our items in were sealed, there was no way many of our damaged goods were in fact, damaged. This is incredibly frustrating. They also disregarded our written claim and took advantage of a singular moment of mispeaking to mark us down on the replacement value for an item. It's outrageous.Tier One Relocation LLC Response

Hello Ma'am We are very sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your settlement offer for the claimed items. I see where you were given an inconvenience settlement and also a settlement for items claimed as damaged. We were not aware that you were dissatisfied with the settlement offer since it was accepted and not disputed by you. Thank you for your feedback and God BlessReview from Nicholas T

I cannot believe the military still contracts companies like this. Oh wait I can, because they love to use the worst companies possible that make service members' lives even harder. The week of my expected move they started pushing my load date back further and further. Finally on the day they verified (in email and numerous phone calls) no one shows up. I call the driver and he says he's on another job and that someone should have called me to let me know that they're going to have to change the date yet again, but of course I got no such correspondence. And since it's Sunday no one is at work or picking up the phone, and with Monday being a holiday I'm probably not going to hear from anyone until Tuesday, and I'm sure they'll give me the runaround yet again. At this point I can guarantee that I will not get my household goods delivered by my report date because this worthless company can't manage or communicate. Just another hurdle for my family to have to overcome with an even shorter timeline to settle into our next destination. I can't wait for someone to finally show up and be a nightmare with packing, which all these other reviews are indicating. Tier One, go ahead and leave a comment saying you're sorry for the inconvenience without actually improving your organization since that seems to be all you're capable of.Review from Daniel R

They were hired by the Air Force to move our home goods and had to pickup a month early and put our stuff in storage then deliver a month after we got to our new station. When they arrived there were only three men to unload a huge amount of stuff and they were trying to do a lot of it by themselves they dropped my treadmill off the dolly into our flowers, hit my lights when coming through the entryway, dropped my fire table off the truck about five feet high, broke all my glass marbles for the fire table and disconnected a hose so I can no longer use it broke pieces off our elliptical and treadmill, cracked the wood and damaged our cherry solid wood entertainment wall unit, broke my kids Occulus, Amazon tablet and Nintendo switch, lost one of our Occulus, broke our couch in several pieces broke the feet to the couch, the recliner wouldn’t recline right, there were broken Corel dishes which are supposed to be unbreakable!!!! Damaged the handles on the wall unit, and damaged other things we didn’t claim everything just the things that were truly damaged like mattress with a huge hole in the bottom and covered in water stains, the mattress covers I left on were badly damaged, the boxes with electronics were badly damaged, and they offered for $20,000 damaged goods they offered $2000 yea right so we contact the Air Force and still they offer a measly $5000 that barely replaces the couch and maybe the treadmill, the company tried saying cause their people didn’t put a sticker that somehow they didn’t ship it or we couldn’t prove they shipped it it’s been a huge inconvenience and we were forced to move and had this happen now we have broken items we have been having to use cause I don’t have $20,000 hanging out to replace it all. If I were anyone wanting to ship goods I would stay far away from this company they are crooks who obviously hire people who don’t know what they are doing or don’t care about keeping your things safe and they break it then refuse to replace it!Tier One Relocation LLC Response

Tier one is the worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of being forced to use. If you have a choice in the matter don’t use this company. I am in the middle of a move back to the states and my house hold goods were in ***** in storage. When the driver arrived he did not call prior to his arrival, it was just him and another older man who said he was retired. My shipment was over 5000# and these men seemed desperate to get home, they had two other deliveries before me. They brought everything up, then the drive went over the paperwork and said as I’m initialing the paperwork “I’m only required to unpack and set up big furniture like mattresses and beds.” I asked him if it would be possible to get a dunnage pick up and he said yes you just have to call this number on the paperwork. He kindly circled the number. After he left, I called the number And it was the company that contracted tier 1. They said they would not be able to do a dunnage removal to get a hold of the company that did the delivery. They also said that removal of dunnage is only possible if the driver unpacks everything. So I called tier 1 the same day as the delivery and they said that they would try to get someone back to my house to pick up the boxes. I never got a call back that day. I called back every day until Thursday when I received a call and they said that there was nothing they could do because I had signed the paperwork, saying that it had been unpacked to my satisfaction. The customer service representative said that they had put in a request to get more funding for the dunnage removal but they’re usually denied. I argued that since the company had hired a driver that lied to me, they should be responsible for the funds for the removal, I did not win this argument. I was told that the driver said he didn’t say any of that to me, and obviously the company doesn’t have to worry about their customers because the military will pay them regardless.Tier One Relocation LLC Response

Very disappointed in our US government to continue to use companies like this especially after receiving all these negative reviews. I wish I would have read these reviews prior to my move. I retired from the Army and this would be my final move. 14,000 pounds of furniture. I must admit, the packers and movers did a nice job. Just a couple issues, but nothing to worry about. Just like others mentioned, not all items were individually itemized. I took before pictures and video. In all my moves, this one was probably one of the better ones, but there were a couple items with some damage. A brand new dining table, another small table, some lamp shades, stools, broken vases, and my retirement gift which was a cigar cabinet humidor. I filed the claim and they denied almost every single item stating that there is no proof it was damaged in the move. They denied my humidor claim because they said it wasn't in the inventory. They offered $9 for my lamp shades that were packed in a box with heavy stuff on top. I even provided photos. How do I replace 4 lamp shades with $9? We all know that these packers use every code possible to cover their a** and that's why I took pictures and video. So to say that they can't prove during the move is just a low class move from a company selected by our government to take care of military families. It's very disappointing to say the least. Clearly this is a worthless company that has no interest in taking care of military families. What a shame. They shouldn't be in business if this is how they operate.Tier One Relocation LLC Response

Good Afternoon Sir, We were very sorry to hear of the damages and that you were not happy with the claim settlement process. I see where you transferred your claim to the MCO. If MCO decides we were incorrect, they will override our decision. Thank you
