I took my jeep in for repair , he kept saying more things were broke so I asked him to stop working on it and refund my deposit ,he assaulted me and won't give me my vehicle back even though it's paid in full.

Mr. ******* brought in small payments over the course of a year for repairs. When there was an adequate deposit we began work. First he asked for new timing components to be installed. During disassembly we found a Crack in one of the cylinder heads. Mr. ******* said to stop work at this point. The vehicle was made available to pick up. Some time later, 60 days or so he asked to have the head replaced. Told him we would need a deposit for parts before we began work. He then made small payments over some time for the cylinder head. Again when there was an adequate deposit we ordered the head and began work. When we removed the cracked cylinder head we discovered the damage was due to extreme overheating. It was then recommended to replace the engine do to the damage or at minimum the other cylinder head. Again he said to stop work. So we did. The vehicle was Again made available for pickup. Some time later, 60 days or so he called and asked to have both cylinder heads replaced. Again he made small payments to pay for the other head over time. It was also recommended the engine be replaced verses replacing the cylinder head do to the extreme overheating damage at this time. He asked we replace both cylinder heads. We ordered the cylinder head and began removing the other head. When we removed the other head we found the engine cylinders on that side were severely damaged and the vehicle would have to have a new engine or rebuilt. At this time we were asked to stop work and quoted used and remanufactured engines. The one cylinder head was returned but to much time had passed to return the first head ordered. Over the next 2 to 3 months we quoted numerous used and remanufactured engine for Mr. *******. Not hearing back from him on any of them. About 45 days ago he asked to pick up the vehicle and for a refund for the remaining deposit. We placed all parts purchased in the vehicle and placed it in front of the business for pickup. I also told him I would give him $900.00 in credit for future repairs at the shop and forgive the storage fees which are significant for the time frame. The vehicle sat for 35 days in front of the business and Mr. ******* never picked it up. It was then pushed to a public street on the same block to get it out of the way. He then contacted me upset that it was on the street and cussed me out and called me foul names. We then moved the vehicle back into the fenced lot because he was upset it was on the street. He the came down and asked to get his kids stuff out of the vehicle. I agreed and accompanied him to the vehicle. He immediately went to the glove box and started removing papers which I could see were sales and title paperwork. I told him that wasn't childrens things and he needed to leave. He argued that it was his stuff and left. We were then contacted by Casper police department say the vehicle had been reported stolen. Explained the situation and haven't heard back from them. Casper police department also advised me that the vehicle doesn't belong to Mr. *******. The vehicle can be picked up upon payment of all storage fees. Released to the owner.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:How are their storage fees if I have a $900.00 credit. Also I believe hurt feelings does not justify stealing someone’s vehicle. I have receipts showing I paid $3,480.00. He haggled me into paying for more things because he left the heaters out on purpose so it would rust and I would be forced to replace the whole engine. He assaulted ****** when he went to grab the title with my name on it. This is so unprofessional and unbelievable that he is getting awake with assault and robbery. If you need the receipt then I will send a copy.

      Regards,

      ****** *******

I am very confused. Is ****** responding to this complaint or someone else? Referring to ****** in the 3rd person makes it seem as though someone else is responding. As for the storage fees, I was going to forgive them and give a credit of $900.00 dollars before ****** lied about getting his children's things out of the car and getting other things out of the vehicle. Threatening to kick my as over the phone as well as Facebook messenger. Police have screenshots of the messages. Then assaulting me because I told him he needed to leave because he wasn't getting anything related to a child. He then lied to law enforcement saying he was getting a stroller out of the vehicle but there wasn't one in there. Police officer looked as well as video footage of the event, showing there was no stroller removed from the vehicle by Andrew. In response to the headers being left out on purpose I'm assuming you mean heads. Both heads were placed in the vehicle before it was moved outside. The engine was covered with an engine cover and is still in place. Officer has pictures of this. I am currently waiting to hear back from officer Burgen to see if I can release to vehicle to ****** or if I need to release it to the vehicle owner. A result of telling law enforcement I had stolen the vehicle. And to find out who the owner is as the officer says it doesn't belong to Andrew. I will contact ****** or the owner as soon as I know what has to be done. As for being unprofessional I don't think I was. I never threatened, yelled, cursed or anything of the kind. Even after being threatened, yelled at, cursed at by Andrew.

I am rejecting this response because: I paid in full. I would like my vehicle back. At this point I don’t care about anything other than getting my Jeep back along with the belongings in it.

      Regards,
