During the last week of June asked Saving Grace Automotive to analyze what was wrong with my car. ******** came excuse after excuse as why he couldn't work on the car. He kept the car for 2.5 months and when I finally asked him to return the car he sneakingly dropped the car off without even facing me or explaining what he had done to fix the car. Bottom line he charged me for parts and labor and did absolutely no work. The car is in worse shape and now requires approximately $5000 to be fixed.Business response

subject: Complaint responseI am writing in response to the recent complaint about a 2011 ****** Murano 3.5 litre timing job.
Origional complaint about the car was a rattling upon start up. Once at the shop I listened with the stethoscope and heard timing chain rubbing on the timing cover. Also there was bank 1 timing code. Quoted a timing job. Infact way under bid the hrs. Seems the hrs on the program were for after the engine was removed. I managed with it in the vehicle. One reason it took awhile. Anyhow I gave quote. Customer paid for repair ahead of time. I immediately gathered what parts were quoted. Once in the project seen other rear timing cover gaskets blown out. Made 2 attempts at trying to order the correct gaskets. Both sets were wrong. After painful research found out by ****** they never made those gaskets. Also can not find anyone aftermarket that did either. I discovered 1 gasket worked from a ****** 350z. Still left the other. ****** sold me their special silicone in the end. Installed all the parts that were qouted. Test drove it worked wonderful upon my 20 mile test drive. Dropped it off next day. I had a rented uhaul trailer plus late dropping trailer off as well late to a semi stuck on the side of the freeway. I attempted to make contact. Waited for a few minutes then decided to hide the key and text where it was. I had to get on the rd. Most of the $$ paid was for parts. He still had a small balance left. Attached is the invoice. Along with the plate and gasket that I had trouble finding. From what I heard the engine light came back on and something may have been leaking. After that I had not heard from this customer since. The camshaft phasers could have also been bad, vvt sensors, camshaft itself. These 3.5 engines once they start having issues they are a royal pain to revive them. Especially in this year range.Customer response

subject: Re: complaint #********Please see attached pics of the silicone valves.
Found several ports to vvt system full of silicone. That would have prevented timing system from working correctly. The other tech and I are debating on trying to clean ports and put back together with new gaskets and check operation before going any further3 Attachments

subject: complaint #********I am attaching the estimate from another shop and details of the damage caused by Saving Grace. The silcone they used caused excessive damages to my car. I'm asking that Saving Grace reimburse me for the amount that they charged me.

subject: Re: Saving grace automotiveThis would be my only settlement offer. Long as he does not slander my business. This would be all labor paid back. Guess he got free work

Not sure what he is offering. I need him to repay me what he charged me. $1400.00 will settle this dispute.
