when we bought our home the previous owner paid to have a new roof put on, When the roof was put on by Chase H************ and his company Platinum Construction, Chase had signed and dated a 5 year waranty on the roof covering leaks,. In april of this year (2022) a leak had occured in the roof and Chase was contacted. he came out and looked at it, Chase had claimed that the leak was coming from a conduit that was below where the leak was. they sealed it and a week or 2 later it leaked again. the electrician came out and removed the conduit where Chase had then come out and repaired the roof where the conduit was. thought it was fixed but then in Jun of 2022 it leaked again and when I contacted Chase for the 3rd time I tried to explain that there is a possibiliy that the leak was coming from somewhere else in the roof. CHase then got hostile and defensive claiming that it wasnt coming from anywhere else and accused the electrician for the damages, tried to claim that the warranty was void because of the electrician and that it was only a 3 year warranty and not a 5 year warranty, claimed that the conduit wasnt installed properly and that he didnt charge us the first 2 times but was now going to charge us for the repairs when the warranty clearly states that leaks were covered. THe warranty states that any repairs will be made within 5 business days and its been 3 almost 4 months and nothing is being done, Chase wont answer my calls, wont call me back and keeps giving me the run around on when the repairs will be done. the longer it takes to get it done the more damage will be done, Chase stated he was going to replace the whole section of roof where the leak has occured.Business response

Our roof warranty covers the work Platinum Construction provided, however this roof leak came from an electrician who drilled a hole in the roof and improperly installed a roof jack. (Pictures will be provided) when I got the call for a leaking roof I got out there and looked at the roof, met with ****** Norris on 5/2/22 and was informed that the electrician was not supposed to install this jack as it would feed the shop in the back of the house that they didn't want power to. I advised ****** at that time that the roof jack was installed improperly. We looked in the interior of the house and the leak came from directly above the new electrical. I came back on 5/5/22 and applied a Gaco silicone roof coating and advised if it leaked any more to call me. The roof then leaked on 7/1/22 and I advised ****** that as the electrical was not needed it would be best to remove and patch over. Also informed ****** that as that is a membrane roofing surface and it was already applied a patch is difficult on this type of roofing and more than likely would need to be recovered. Advised ****** that as leak did not come from work that was preformed by Platinum construction that we would have to charge for material. Also advised that the warranty provided did not cover a hole drilled through the roofing surface. Platinum construction did not charge any amount for the first 2 call outs to fix the roof. We did however charge for material only on the overlay. I reached out to ****** before knowing about this complaint to ask if she had received the invoice and to make there is no more leakingpit. She replied that they haven't received the mailed invoice and that yes they were staying dry. This leak was not a cause of work preformed by Platinum construction and warranty of a roof that has had a hole and improperly installed roof jacks are not covered items. The roofing was replaced and fixed on 7/22/22 (Pictures provided)
If there is any further action required by Platinum construction please feel free to contact me directly regarding this matter
THANK YOU,
CHASE H************
