  We hired CSI Construction on 8/26/2022 after Kevin Hansen inspected our property on 8/17/2022 to provide what was needed to complete the project. Our original contractor did not complete our home therefore, our attorney suggested we hire another contractor to complete the unfinished house. Mr. Hansen was one of several contractors we interviewed. Mr. Hansen per email dated 8/26/2022 stated his work would be at a rate of $65 per hour with a 10% service fee. Work started in Sept. 2022 on and off depending on workers availability. On 11/27/2022 I sent an email asking when the unfinished texture/painting, would be completed. Mr. Hansen stated the painting didn't need to be completed prior to final inspection. On 12/19/2022 Mr. Hansen responded per email stating all items would be taken care of. Our court case with the original contractor was starting 09-11 Jan. 2023. On 1/3/2023 Mr. Hansen demanded payment on our final statement prior to court case which he was a witness. We asked our attorney regarding final payment since there would be no incentive to return to complete all outstanding work. Our attorney stated that Mr. Hansen would complete the work and that Mr. Hansen had stated he would not be a witness for our case unless we paid the final statement. Mr. Hansen stated on this email that "we are the last people that would ever leave you high and dry." On 2/8/2023 Mr. Hansen forwarded an email with the subcontractor contact info. for us to contact for unfinished work. We used this list but had no reponse from the subcontractors with the expection of the Tile company who did complete his work. Between March & April 2023 several emails were sent with no response (I have all emails). Our attorney was contacted who reached out to Mr. Hansen who didn't responded for 2+ months. Mr. Hansen reponded on 5/15/2023 stated he would not complete the punch list or any unfinished work. 5/15/2023 atty email "I'm in a difficult position since I'm using Mr. Hansen on another case.

  I am writing in response to the customer experience report below.
  
  Construction Specialists, Inc has been in business here in Cheyenne WY for 34 years.  This is the first time we have ever had a complaint with the BBB.  (pretty good record eh!)
  
  Joann Taylor, the person making the complaint did in fact hire Construction Specialists, Inc after she had unreconcilables differences with Carter Brothers Construction whom was hired to build their home.
  
  They took that contractor to court, in which I had to testify to my findings during our construction.  I was dismissed after my testimony, so I do not know how that turned out for either party.
  
  Long story short, Construction Specialists, Inc helped them when no one else would.  I reached out to several of the previous contractors whom Carter Brothers had hired and they had a resounding response of never would they help them out in a million years.  Construction Specialists, Inc still managed to finish the construction before the owners pressing deadline of the court date above so they could have documentation of cost that were incurred to finish the project.  Construction Specialists, Inc did finish the project with the exception of some painting prior to their court date.
  
  Construction Specialists, Inc did in fact demand payment for the past due balance owed them prior to committing to testify in court.  The balance was long overdue.
  
  Construction Specialists, Inc did in fact return to the project and complete work after the court date.
  
  Construction Specialists, Inc did everything in our power to pacify the client Joann Taylor, but apparently that is just an impossible task.   Or at least impossible for two different contractors that have been building Cheyenne for the last 3 decades.
  
  I would recommend any future contractors to steer clear of Joann Taylor or any work to be competed at 786 Century Hills trail.  They will only find themselves in court or getting trashed on the BBB.
