Contractor for wind/hail repair is shoddy at best. Original claim was 06/04/2020. Windows are too small and not sealed correctly. Siding not attached properly. Nails in drip holes on siding. J-channels cut to long. Vapor barrier is cut back from doors & windows. Pro-Plus will not complete any repairs/finish work. Has sent people out the house to fix things but the problems have gotten worse. Pro-Plus has stopped returning calls. Repair estimate to correct work is over $20,000. If Pro-Plus will NOT correct/fish the job, a refund is needed so that the repairs can be completed by another contractor.

I Nate ******** had messaged Mr. **** already for the repairs to be completed when it warms us as vinyl breaks too easy in freezing weather.  I went myself Saturday with our siding crew and our window guys.  the window issue arose when the homeowner decided he wanted to trim the inside himself and removed the old trim.  Mobile homes are not always square and plum as I showed Mr. ****.  we put a level on the windows that he had concerns about and showed him that they were plumb and level.  we also put the level on the framed out openings to show him that the openings themselves were not plumb or level that is why they need shimmed properly to properly install interior trim.  he was concerned that his trim board tucks in beside the window at the bottom while hitting the window at the top.  i showed him how he could install shims behind the trim board at the bottom to install it plumb thus with an even reveal on the window.  i believe he had hoped to just tack a trim board to the crooked openings rather than having to shim.  we went ahead and pulled 4 windows and shifted them around to where he said he wanted them. (granted one of the windows was too far down and should have been centered in the opening)

Back door - the J channel was left off of the storm door as the storm door had hex head screws and the channel would not have covered the storm door trim properly.  the door sags over 1/2" and the bottom trim was left low enough for the door to not smash against the j channel breaking it.  Mr **** said he was swapping the storm door out at a later date and we installed the siding to where he could do so.   Saturday - we went ahead and moved the j channel up now the door has to be lifted every time it is closed so that the siding is not damaged.  it should be fine like it is until the door is replaced as long as they don't use the door much.  Top row of siding - this was absolutely done incorrectly, it should have never had nails in the weep holes, proper finish is to use under sill trim and a snap punch to lock it into an under sill trim.  another way is to punch a wider siding hole so that the vinyl still has room to move as vinyl grows with heat and shrinks while cold.   I thought we had this lined out as my window guy showed the siding guy his hole punch and Mr. **** had watched a video and liked the punch idea better then the proper sill trim.  I contacted Mr. **** again today (Monday) to make sure that all was good as we took care of the windows and i trimmed out the skylight myself saturday.  we left the top trim on Saturday as it was too cold to punch.  Mr. **** informed me that the siding guys were currently doing the top trim and nailing through it.  i told Mr. **** that i would be rite there and got to the house as quick as i could.  I had a meeting with the siding guys (we have a little bit of a language barrier as I don't speak Korean)  but i showed them how siding needs room to move and that it gets smaller when cold and expands or grows when it is warm.  i grabbed a few random pieces on the house and showed them how they can slide back and forth a little and how that is perfect as it allows the siding to grow and shrink and explained that the top partial row of siding needs to be able to expand as well.  I had a buddy bring a punch over and we punched and nailed it properly to secure the top partial row while still allowing it room to move.

Skylight - the bigger skylights are a better setup with a 2x4 curb and flashing kit rather than the deck mount smaller skylights.  the issue is that the smaller deck mount skylights come with a white composite interior material were as the bigger skylights have a 2x4 curb.  Mr. **** didn't like the raw lumber that he could see up inside the skylights.  I went and got white composite trim and installed it inside the skylights to make them all match.

Not responding - yes there was a bit where i didn't respond as it was too cold to work.  i should have at least talked to him and let him know i was waiting to find a warmer day for the repairs.  I had texted him and let him know that this week looked like better weather and had let him know that I had planned on doing repairs during the warmer weather.  he just didn't see the message until after his insurance agent made this report.

Mr. **** is not tech savvy, I don't even think he has a computer.  it was his insurance gal at *** insurance that made this complaint.  if you have any tracking with your reports that includes the origination IP address you are welcome to do an IP Trace or IP Lookup to verify this or possibly call Mr. **** and ask how this was filed.  I do believe it is fraudulent and against ******* ****** code of ethics for them to pose as a customer and file complaints and I'll handle things on that end.

I verified with Mr. **** about an hour ago that we had taken care of all of his concerns.  he asked how to retract this complaint as he has no idea how any of it works and said he would try to get his insurance lady to fix it and retract it.  you might give Mr. **** himself a call if you have time to verify that all repairs have been done to his satisfaction.

Time frame - I am guilty here, this project was done a long time ago and we have made several attempts to make him happy.  I have been there numerous times and a couple times he thought he had broken windows where i showed him it was just some of the factory sealant and scratched it off the glass.   A good trim guy would have easily been able to finish the interior on the windows and shim it to go in plumb and square with the windows but we went ahead and pulled them moved them 1/8" etc. to where he wanted them.
