Hi. I am contacting the BBB of Wyoming concerning a hotel in Laramie, WY in which I reluctantly stayed at on 6/25/24 which was very very run down and should not be open to the public. The hotel is the Travel Lodge. We arrived late at night as there was not any other place to stay in Laramie and this was our only option. The outside of the hotel has paint and siding coming off and homeless people hanging out outside it. There was also 5+ people hanging outside the hotel in chairs that were loitering. It felt very unsafe from the minute we arrived. We got all checked in because again there was no where else to stay and we were on a motorcycle and needed to be done for the night, as it was dark. We were taking our items to our room and the minute we walked in the hallway it smelt very strong of marajuana and cigarettes, there is no elevator and there were people all over the hallways who were talking on their phones and walking the hallways. We got to our room and there was a lot of garbage outside our door. The door looked like it had been kicked down, paint was missing off the wall on the outside of the door. Once we finally got in because our room key didn’t work, it was dirty and dirt all over the floor. It did not look clean at all, the lock didn’t work, there was garbage on the floor and chairs, a sticker on the wall, the baseboard was falling off in many spots and there were holes in the walls as well as stains on the walls and ceilings. We did not step foot on the floor. We had to put everything up from the floor. I am informing you of this as this hotel should be shut down and I am requesting a full refund in the amount of $95.60 for our one night stay. The pictures online of this hotel DO NOT look anything like the hotel, very deceiving. This is a dangerous hotel and we felt very unsafe and not clean at all. No one should be allowed to stay here and it needs to be investigated and shut down. Please reach out with additional questions.
