A deposit of $ 2200 was given to laramie Valley roofing to replace a roof on a garage. My father in law fell ill and had to be placed in a nursing home. Im tring to help my mother in law to cover cost. We asked arsineo the owner for a refund till we could afford to do the work. He gave her the run around around and stopped answering calls after a month. She asked me to get involved. I talk to Brittany the office lady. I explained it. She said she would talk to him and. When she got back to me said he would sign a check. That wast 4 weeks ago. They will not return my calls. Left numerous messages. Would like some sort of feed back. We still want the work done. Just at a later date. Need the deposit money back for my fatherlaws care and keep the house afloat.

      Business response

      To whom it may concern:

I am responding to a refund complaint.  It is L.V.C's practice to ask for a deposit, for the purpose of protecting our contractual agreements.  The deposit is our guarantee that the agreements will be fulfilled, this is our protection.  We were, and we still are, able to fulfill our end of the agreement with this customer.  If they break the contract, they lose the deposit.  This position we could easily take.  Our current position is that we are going to contact this customer and get something worked out.  This I consider a gesture of good faith because we have not violated our obligation.  As these customers have ran into personal misfortune, they hopefully can understand that they are not the only ones.  Labor, because of COVID has made circumstances difficult.  The customers' communication was not being ignored, however with the COVID impact we have had turn over in the office resulting in the communication being lost. If they feel the response has been untimely, ill will was not the motivation.

Some consumers may elect to not publish the details of their complaints, some complaints may not meet BBB's standards for publication, or BBB may display a portion of complaints when a high volume is received for a particular business.
