* We contacted A Plus plumbers in Sheridan, Wy. to unclog our kitchen drain. * Their employee showed up on 12.23.2021, to do the work * During the course of his repair, a leak was created in the kitchen drain pipe that was being unclogged. * When we asked if he could repair it, he advised us the he was an unlicensed plumber and that someone else needed to visit us, to complete the repair. * We called A Plus plumbers the next day, who advised that no one from their company could repair it before the following week. * We were forced to hire another local plumbing company to complete the repair. * We received a bill from A Plus Plumbing dated 12.29.2021 for the repair. * We were billed $95.00 for 1 hr labor at a licensed plumber's rate * We were also billed $20.00 for the use of a Hand Sink Machine needed for the repair. * We contacted the owner of the business, to complain. * I advised that I would pay an amended, corrected bill reflecting a non-plumber rate and requested the equipment fee to be removed. * The owner refused to make the changes and immediately sent my bill, dated 12.29.2021 to a debt collection agency, ********** *************, Sheridan WY. I feel that, since the person who did the work was not a licensed plumber, I should not be billed with that rate. I feel that the equipment fee should not be added to the bill since, without the equipment, the drain could not be unclogged. I feel that, since the bill was dated 12.29.2021 and sent to collection a few days later, this step needs to be reversed so that a time for resolution be given to all parties involved. REGARDING CASE # ********
Thank you,
A Plus Plumbers & Appliance Repair, LLC

Regards to Case # ********
Dear Better Business Bureau;
We are responding to a complaint submitted by a customer in Sheridan, WY 82801. A
Plus Plumbers was contacted by the customer on or about December 16, 2021. The
Customer had called in to schedule an appointment for a plugged kitchen drain.
When our technician arrived on location, he found the kitchen sink to be plugged and
used a portable hand-held drain cleaning machine to un-plug the drain. Once the
kitchen sink was open from obstruction, the kitchen sink drained fine. Upon further
inspection our technician discovered that the kitchen sink drain line had a drip at or in
the wall and would require more time to repair.
Our technician informed the customer they would have to re-schedule with A Plus
Plumbers to fix the issue, because our technician was already scheduled for more
appointments that day. The customer was informed that we could not repair the leak
until the following week because the next day was Christmas Eve and a holiday.
The customers were never forced to call another company, this was done on their own
accord, A Plus Plumbers performed the work that was called in to clean the drain line
for the kitchen sink, with no further complaints about the plugged kitchen sink. All A
Plus Plumbers field employees go through an extensive training on drain cleanings.
And furthermore, the international plumbing code and/or city of Sheridan does not
require a person to be a licensed plumber to clean a drain line. The fees that were
charged to clean drain lines are $ 95.00 plus equipment, equipment rental fees being
an industry standard.
When talking to the customer on the phone, he demanded a reduction in price because
he did not want to pay for the equipment rental and that our technician was not a
plumber. As stated before, our technician is more than qualified and trained
extensively in cleaning drain lines. A Plus Plumbers told the customer that we would
not reduce the invoice of $ 115.00. The customer stated he would not pay the bill, so A
Plus Plumbers was left with no recourse but to turn them over to a collection agency.
