Wex bank is a bunch of crooks. They hold your payment until it is late then charge you a late fee. On several occasions the check I sent has cleared my bank after they cash it, and they will not post it so I get a late fee. They will intentionally destroy your credit rating if you have a disagreement with them.WEX Bank Response

If I could leave NO stars, then I would. My business has had gas cards for over 20 years without issue. Then they switched to Wex Bank for their processing. We have had nothing but problems since. For example, I mailed the September bill on 09/06/23. They didn't process it until 09/18/23. I know the post office is incompetent these days, but that's absurd and happens frequently...and ONLY with Wex Bank. I believe that this is because they abuse customers this way to get more money. See, new terms were forced on us without full consent: if a payment is late, then late fees ($85.00!!) plus interest will be charged. Because of that, I mail it WAY before it's due. They still hit me. This is bad business. If I could get my company to drop them for bad business practices, then you can believe that I would. The process and payment works fine, but WEX charges fees often in excess of our limited usage for the month. They are unresponsive, and when you do speak to someone, every time they have been incredibly rude. I implore you: if you are looking for Fleet services, don't waste your time with Wex.WEX Bank Response

Wex Bank probably is the worst bank I have ever tried to transact business with in my entire life. I retired from a 30 plus year in banking so I know a little bit about what I am talking about. They do not answer their phones, they ignore emails, they do not return call backs when requested after you leave them a voicemail message. They requested personal confidential information from me and would not provide a secure link to transmit the information. They would not even respond to my request for a call back about a secure link. In addition the times I have called them I have to wait up to 18 minutes for a person to answer the phone only to immediately get cut off. I have even tried to communicate with their corporate office by emails to their CEO, General Counsel and their head of Compliance and guess what no response at all. If you ever have a need to transact business with them Good luck. For them to say that customer service is a core value for them is laughable if it wasn't so sad. Maybe they should spend a little time and money looking at their customer experience.WEX Bank Response

good luck reaching anyone by calling the number provided. Go thru the calling tree and then the line hangs up on you. I would say POOR SERVICE is a WEX Core value. By the way I have never seen so many poor reviews ever for an organization. I would reach out if I had a number that a real person would answer.Review from

ZERO COMMUNIATION - EXCESSIVE FINANCE CHARGES i HAVE BEEN SPENDING $3000-$5000 PER MONTH FOR MY BUSINESS AT 7-ELEVEN GAS STATIONS. WE HAVE A NET 30 ACCOUNT AND WE PAY WEX BANK WHICH HANDLES FLEET ACCOUNTS FOR 7-ELEVEN. WE HAVE BEEN A GOOD PAYING CUSTOMER FOR 5 YEARS. ON OUR OCTOBER *************** WAS A $515.00 FINANCE CHARGE FOR A LATE PAYMENT. WE COMPLAINED BECAUSE OUR STATEMENT ARRIVED LATE. THEY WERE VERY UNSYMPATHETIC ON THE ****** THEY WOULD ONLY CREDIT OD 50% OF THE FINANCE CHARGE. AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGEMENT I ACCEPTED THE CREDIT. I SWITCHED TO PAPERLESS BILLING. FAST FORWARD TO THE NEXT STATEMENT. IT NEVER ARRIVED IN MY E-MAIL EVEN THOUGH EVERY POSSIBLE NOTIFICATION IS TURNED ON. AT 4AM TODAY I GOT MY 1ST AND ONLY NOTIFICATION SAYING MY ACCOUNT WAS SUSPENDED FOR NON PAYMENT. THERE ARE 2 WARNINGS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SENT OUT PRIOR TO ACCOUNT SUSPENSION - I DIDN;T GET ANY OF THOSE. I LOGGED IN TO SEE 2 STATEMENTS. THE FIRST ONE DID HAVE THE 50% CREDIT AGAINST THE $515 FINANCE CHARGE. I PRINTED IT OUT AND PAID IT TODAY. IT IS WEX FAULT FOR NOT SENDING ME THE NOTICE THAT THIS WAS PAID LATE. NOW I PRINT THE NEXT STATEMENT AND YOU GUESSED IT - ANOTHER FINANCE CHARGE. THIS ONE WAS FOR $400.13. I CALLED IN AND CLOSED THE ACCOUNT. I MAILED A CHECK FOR WHAT I OWE LESS THE FINANCE CHARGE. THE GIRL ON THE ***** SAID THEY WOULD NOT CREDIT THE FINANCE CHARGE. THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTELT HORRENDOUS. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN.WEX Bank Response

I never authorized fleet one to run any type of credit check because they seemed to pushy and I did not trust them. I haven't been in contact with anyone from fleet one for over 4 months. They have ran a hard credit check on me and now they have my credit score down by 27 points. I want to know how you are going to fix this, Refer to your letter Opportunity # ******!! I want this taken care of ASAP. WE are trying to get financed on a place to live and this hard pull has Hurt my Credit!! ******************** P.S. This bank is terrible. I sent my payment for my **********f fleet card the day I received it. It took 12 days to travel from ****** ** to ************ **. It arrived 2 days beyond their terrible time allowed. $39.00 late fee plus interest plus $10.00 to mail my statement to me. Customer service from ******************** representatives for Each person I spoke with told me any money owed back to me will possibly be sent. I cancelled my account with ********** because of this absurd pricing . ********** complaints is horrible. When I am told these fees would be adjusted except for $10.00 paper delivery No one will confirm this. It costs $15.00 to pay bill by phone. 3 hours, yes you read that right THREE HOURS waiting on credit to answer the phone. **************** answers almost immediately, but credit dont. CS claims they have a large call volume, but THREE HOURS!!!! Come on, I know not everyone is on hold like I was. I literally left my phone down on my desk and continued my day. When upon 5pm the hold music changed to there is no one available to take your call as we are now closed, please call back between 6a & 5p Mon through Fri MSTWEX Bank Response

When circle K took over Holiday they use Wex Bank.I receive my **** about 8 to 10 days before due,I pay online ,the online is posted that they receive payment by due date but not processed thru by Wex for another 7 days in turn telling me its late and in turn charging me a $75.00 late fee each month for the last 5 months ,called Circle K and they said it was post offices fault and they would not refund my late fees..I canceled card 6 weeks ago and still had a late charge of $75.00 for not using card.Never in my life have I had a late charge,sounds like they have a good thing going.WEX Bank Response
