Its sad I have to come to the BBB in hopes of getting actual customer support. I requested to postpone my due date by 1 day in their app as my payment was coming out 1 day bwfore my paycheck and it wasn't honored. I ended up getting an overdraft fee. I knew i didnt have the funds which is why i pit in the request ro begin with This is a $25 issue I'm talking about here that this multimillion dollar company refused to help me with. They said their app doest save this info. How is that my fault? I didn't make the app. Then they said I can send in proof. Why would I take a screenshot of me postponing my due date? I had no need to do that when I made the request. I have never complained or filed a claim before and when I do have an issue I'm told oh well.Review from Andy L

Geico Insurance refusing to pay out on crash claim, they claim they dropped coverage on their person the day of the crash 7-6-2024. It shows the policy is good till 11-4-2024. How is the BBB showing an A rating with all the complaints listed below. How is Geico allowed to continue this type of business dealings.Review from Lisa C

I got on their site to get a quote for car insurance (trying to find a better rate than what I had already); which was good from others Id saw, so I went through the payment deal and put in my information only for it to come back couldnt complete the transaction. I found out they took an amount I had for an old policy I had 3 yrs ago (didnt even know I owed it). I couldnt find a number to call so had to talk to an agent online. He said sorry online shouldve told me I had a past due before they took it out. I let them know I wasnt happy he said..Im sorry, is there someone that can help you with this policy? I was like no, you shouldnt have taken my money without my permission! His reply was..Im sorry, is there anything else I can help you with! Thats it not even well refund your money since we didnt let you know. My 6mths is up on my present insurance and cant even pay it now!! This place is a joke!!!Review from Alexandra C

I cancelled my policy On June 27, 2024 and to make sure I got it cancelled I follow up with a phone call on July 3rd, 2024. The due date to renew my payment was on July 8th. Regardless of my efforts, this company, after I cancelled my policy practically twice!! they took money from my bank account on July ******** (over $400) and when I called them to complain about it they told me they don't have the phone call on record just the request of cancellation on the 27th but it was not process until today July 9th, 2024..... I gave them screenshot of an email they sent me to qualify their agent after my call on July 3rd and the phone call screenshot from my cellphone showing them the 11 minute phone call I had on July 3rd 2024. I'm overdrafting my bank account and is not my fault whatsoever to pay for those extra charges, I know it is not a huge amount but this company does the same to how many people? some of us we just count pennies to make it through the month. It is totally unfair that a client with proof of doing the right transactions on time is treated like is lying about it. Who is out there to protect us from this huge companies doing what they think is right for them, and not thinking about the costumer?? This is just wrong. No one should take money out of your account without consent if there is a cancellation already in process since so many days before!!Review from wade h

I have had Geico for 5 years and never had to use any coverage. Recently I had a radiator hose blow while on a road trip. I tried to use roadside assistance through the app, but it would not accept my location and wanted an address. However I was in the middle of a long stretch of highway with no address to be found. After spending time trying to get that to work, I had to call for roadside assistance. After 45 minutes on hold, I finally was able to talk to someone. They took my info and location, and said they would find me a tow. Half an hour later I get a call back saying that they were sorry, but they could not find a tow, good luck and if you find one, you will be reimbursed. First company I called was able to come get me! After the tow, I submitted my receipt to geico as instructed and was told I would recieve my reimbursement in 7-10 days. After 16 days, I contacted them about the reimbursement and they said it was still processing and they were waiting for an invoice from the towing company. However, when I contacted the towing company, they said that they never received the request from geico, which I believe completely as they are a small company comprised of amazing people, and have no interest in keeping my reimbursement from me, although geico does. They also said this is quite common for geico to claim they sent the request when they never did. Geico's only response was to "stay out of it and let them handle it" and to check back in 10 more days if I haven't heard anything. So in summary the only time I've had to use coverage after 5 years, their app didn't work, they couldn't provide me service, and are now keeping me from my money.Review from William C

On September 12,2023 I was in an accident with a vehicle as the other driver has given a citation failure to yield ***** instructed me to file a claim with the other drivers insurance who was the ********** of ******* After lots of research I was able to mail a claim to the ******* ********** several weeks later the letter was returned I contacted ***** , agent ********************* after several other agents were not helpful ***** said that was not my responsibility as the other agents misinformed me and she would file the correct forms. Now July , 8. 2024 I still have not received my deductible of $500 , I have called ********************* every business day for the last two weeks, goes straight to voice mail as she has stop taking my callsReview from Matthew B

Worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. They trick me into renewing my policy told me my policy for the my next six month premium was going to be $386.00 so I agree to renew signed the renewal. The next day woke to an email stating thank you for renewing and telling me My policy was now $433.00 for a six month premium which was higher than my previous six months. I've never been in an accident, never had a ticket. Explained that she stated well it's because medical insurance things like that. I told her, I'm disabled I have cancer I am on ******** don't feed me that. She said well no it's so the other person is covered I said not that's why I pay what I'm already paying. Geico are liers and a den of thieves and I will be switching as soon as my current six month premium is up that's if I'm still alive considering I'm in stage 3 leukemia and currently going through chemotherapy. I hope others don't have to go throught the scam they've pulled on me.Review from Gerardo C

I have sent the proper documentation proving that Geico cancelled my insurance policy in december 2023. arbitrarily and without letting me know. Then, I purchase another insurance with auto direct in view that GEICO cancelled my policy and I already sent and attached the proof of my insurance. Geico still billed me on january 2024. Now GEICO wants me to pay for the coverage provided?1. GEICO cancelled my insurance without informing me or inquiring why the payment did not go through.2. I purchased a new insurance 3. Geico billed me again on january 4. GEICO wants me to pay for " coverage " after they cancelled my policy.5. I called 2 times to solve this issue and the only answer is that I have to pay.6. I will not pay for a service that was cancelled by GEICO, when I already purchase another insurance, stop sending me payment requests. Please dont get a policy with Geico, not worth it at all. I opened up a policy with Geico, and gave all of my information to the representative, a couple weeks later, the representative saw that she sold me the wrong policy, and now they up charged me, I called to complain and asked why my bill went higher, when it was the representative that wrote the wrong policy, and ***** (manager) said there was nothing that they can do. So what they did was cancel my policy, and opened up a new one just because the sales associate that sold me the policy, wrote in the wrong information, so basically theyre trying to charge me two times in one month, and if I dont make the payment, they threaten to cancel my policy.Review from Estefani B

Geicos policyholder hit my car while parked heard the crash since my car was parked right in front of the house. Their insured gave me their insurance information voluntarily and now they don't want to fix the damages because they dont think they are liable for it. They kept sending me to file claim through my own insurance to get my issue resolved. Their representatives do not have any type of professionalism nor respect for customers directing themselves with attitude and not taking any responsibility.
