      I would encourage everyone to think twice about doing business with this insurance company. Why? Because when we moved to Florida 2 years ago we just went with the recommendation of who the seller used. We paid our premium in full (over $6500) first year but decided to go with monthly payments but did write a check for the first amount of $2029.10 on October 20, 2023 and mailed in that day! Wasn't actually due until November 13, 2023. Get a notice after Nov. 13th that haven't received payment and therefore our coverage lapsed Nov. 13th (thank the good Lord we didn't have anything happen). We had no idea Centauri didn't get our check and we don't know why. We nor our Agent got a courtesy phone call to let us know. Just the letter which as I said we didn't get until after Nov. 13th. I assume it is either the Postal Services fault in some way or someone at Centauri lost it. No fault of ours. You can bet that if we had had something happen to our properties I would have filed a lawsuit and I'm not a lawsuit type of person. I offered to pay Centauri in full the $6,000+ but they said NO!. We have never made a claim by the way. What gives? I guess they don't need the money. I will NEVER recommend Centauri to anyone. It appears by their rating of 1.67 out of 5 that we aren't the only ones unhappy with them. Also looks as if they are not BBB accredited.

      It’s been 6 months since hurricane Ian and Centauri has not made a claim decision. Therefore has not paid out one cent! We lost our roof, car ports, fence, and so much more. We have tenants in the building who are homeless because of the devastation. This company is horrible and blatantly egregious.

      Centauri insurance company are the worse in the nation. They increase the premium, take advantage of the fine print that we as home owners couldnt even pay attention to. We discovered a leak in our main master bathroom so we reported immediately but it took them 2 weeks to come to the house and evaluate then they stated there is an area of fungus so the claim is subject to maximum 5 K??!! No coverage for the leak nor the pluming nor the damaged wood, the tile, shower or nothing. As if the fungus came from someone coughing in the air ?!! We really tried to talk with the agent or supervisor but its the same answer without any explanation. Its really not fair and I believe its a criminal fraud. What a wonderful business take money and refuse to pay. Now Im stuck with 20K estimate but the insurance will pay maximum 5 K. If I knew that, I would never file a claim and couldve fixed it my self. But now we are stuck with claim, Im sure they will increase my premium and we are paralyzed. There has to be a way to prevent this from happening over and over and protect consumers. I really tried to dispute the claim or withdraw but they sent me the 5 K and refused even to discuss further. We feel sick dealing with this company.
