I went into the lazy boy store on July 3, 2023 because there was a 35 percent off sale. The chair I purchased was ******** before taxes. We chose a fabric that the sales person said wouldn't cost any more and she gave us swatches to pick from. After the discounted 4th of July sale, the chair should have been $1,182.35. There was a $170 fee we paid for the fabric protection and $69 for the delivery. The tax was $70.94. This totaled all together should have been $1,492.29. I paid 800 dollars that day and the rest was due when it was ready for delivery. They called me on 8/18/23 and said I owed $1,240.99. The sales clerk said it was with the discount and it seemed incorrect but she wasn't the nicest. So after hanging up I called back and they said the sales lady would return my call. Today she returned my call and said she gave me the best discount she could. So instead if the $1,492.29 I was told in store, I was charged $2,040.99. This is $548.70 more than I was told in store. I would like the difference back instead or the order cancelled. I've called twice and keep getting told to call and talk to someone else who never happens to be in store. The chair is also on sale online for $1279.00, which is still significantly cheaper than they are telling us. I have attached the screenshot of the chair online and the receipt from ours. Seems very fraudulent and the price seems to be what they feel like charging. I had 3 adults with me who all witnessed this.
