I'd leave negative stars if possible. I had loans with these guys that were picked up by Navient. I owe total a little over $45000 and according to both my credit report and department of education I owe almost double because this company didn't remove their information after handing me off to Navient. I have gotten it removed from my credit report and officially got them to stop calling me as I no longer owe them personally. But I can't get another student loan because they are still showing up on dept of Ed as default loans. And I have checked out my Navient loans comparing them to make sure they are light the same loans and they are in fact the same loans. Rediculous how they can get away with this rubbish.

A detailed response was emailed to you on March 2, 2022, explaining on February 4, 2021, Navient Solutions LLC recalled, from Ascendium, five loans Ascendium purchased as defaults from them on January 11, 2021. After Navient recalled their loans, Ascendium still held six defaulted loans that were purchased from Great Lakes Educational ****************** on November 21, 2016 Our response noted the loans still held by Ascendium were assigned to Pioneer Credit Recovery (Pioneer) for collections and that you had entered into a Loan Rehabilitation Agreement with them. The agreement requires you to provide Pioneer with your proof of income prior to concluding the terms of the agreement and having your loans returned to good standing. We confirmed Pioneer has not yet received the required documentation and asked that you contact them directly at ************ to confirm the information needed to conclude the rehabilitation program. I'm not sure how this company got my student loan. I was with Sallie Mae and paying but all of a sudden my loan is with Navient. More money was added to my loan, not sure why. Thankfully I have gotten my loan down to what I originally owed. I reached out to this company to see if they would excuse the balance since I've paid back what I originally owed. I got a response but it was not of any benefit.. I've paid over the $16000, I originally owed as well as the $19,000 they say I owed. I'm so ready for this balance to be gone.

I am still in school and this company keeps calling me "on behalf of my college." I am not in default because I am enrolled in classes for the upcoming semester. There is absolutely NO REASON they should be attempting to contact me as my repayment isn't set to start for two years when I'm out of college. This is completely not okay, I don't even know how they've received my contact information considering I am NOT OUT OF SCHOOL YET. Disturbing, and a complete overstep/
