    We have used ***** to help care for my mom, dad, aunt, and uncle. The caregivers added to my loved one's overall quality of life. They were invaluable when my parents were on hospice care.

    INCORRECT BILLING PRACTICES I hired Mels Helping Hands after I had a stroke on May 1, 2024. The stroke made it hard for me to manage my bills, so I was happy to sign up for the automatic deduction. Sure enough, twice a month, I received an email, with an attached PDF document, that listed the amount due, and that it would be automatically deducted from my account.Imagine my surprise, on August 1, I received notice that **** had just deducted $336 from my bank account. They said they had not deducted the invoices all along, and there was a mistake. They did not call me with a heads up about the situation. I was confused, because on the first month, they said my debit card did not go through. I had given them the wrong number, and it corrected and they told me the new one went through. So it was safe to assume they were charging my account, or at least I thought. When you are on a low fixed income, an unexpected bill of $336 is catastrophic. I was unable to resolve the problem with ******. I asked for the owners contact. I called and left a message with the owner, but they did not return my call.Imagine my surprise today when I received another PDF email invoice for a visit that was reflected on the last invoice and was paid out of the $336. I called, but ****** was unable to resolve the problem satisfactorily.I think this company takes advantage of senior citizens by incorrect billing practices. I would NOT recommend using this company.I cant leave this review without singing the highest praises for the housekeepers, ***** and ********. They were friendly, professional and thorough, and I miss seeing them every week.
