Better Business Bureau of North Alabama has partnered with AARP Alabama to host spring shred days in Florence, Huntsville, Decatur and Cullman. The events will allow area residents to help protect their identities and the environment in a quick and easy drive-thru set up.
Free document shredding will be available at all four shred day locations. There is a limit of three kitchen-size bags or three file storage boxes per vehicle. Only paper documents will be accepted. All other materials, such as plastic, metal, and binders, must be removed. Shredding will be accepted until the shred trucks reach full capacity.
This year’s events are as follows:
- Florence Shred Day: Friday, April 5 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum, 702 Veterans Drive, Florence, AL 35630
- Huntsville Shred Day: Saturday, April 20 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Calhoun Community College, 102 Wynn Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35805
- Additional Service: Electronic Recycling
- Decatur Shred Day: Saturday, May 4 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- BComing Church, 607 14th Street SE, Decatur, AL 35601
- Additional Services: Electronic Recycling and Drug Take Back
- Cullman Shred Day: Saturday, May 4 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- King Edward Plaza Shopping Center, 1731 2nd Avenue SW, Cullman, AL 35055
