Fagner Mirelio Lima Rodrigues owns Coast Carpentry Home Improvement, Inc. in Sandwich, MA. Serving Cape Cod, the construction company offers carpentry, roofing, siding, gutters, deck building and painting for residential clients.
Rodrigues immigrated to the United States from Brazil, where he was in construction for many years. After working for another contractor in Massachusetts, he decided to start his own construction company in 2021. “When I came to the USA, carpentry in this country was similar to Brazil, just different materials. I started as an employee for another contractor, and after about a year, I decided to open my company. With a lot of courage, I started providing services for just one client who was a builder and had two employees. In a short time, my business administration experience gave me the ability to grow my business quickly. Today my company generates enough work for 15 employees and many indirect workers through the services we subcontract to other professionals,” the business owner said.
Rodrigues emphasized his love for operating his business and said, “We are more than carpenters; we are passionate about what we do, the place we live and America. When asked what he likes best about his business, Rodrigues said that he enjoys helping his clients. He noted that his company is always ready to answer emergency calls 24 hours a day, and he takes great pride in Coast Carpentry Home Improvement’s work. “I oversee my employees and closely supervise all the work so that nothing goes wrong. I take care of every detail to ensure client satisfaction,” the business owner said.
Rodrigues also shared his appreciation for his new country. “I love living and working in Massachusetts because the people are so welcoming. Cape Cod is a beautiful, peaceful place with a nice climate.”
