    Searched low income bad credit rentals 2 management companies continuously come up Boardwalk and *** ******. Being a previous resident of boardwalk with excellent reference and having 2 other landlord references. We were denied due to recent life circumstances we have low credit! Don’t advertise what you can’t deliver. We then tried for an apartment with *** ******* the same situation. We are now living in the ******* parking lot…

    Boardwalk response time for either a maintenance request or contacting someone on the 24-hour line is terrible. I placed two maintenance requests over a month ago and have received no answer. One of them is to replace the screen on the balcony door as it is broken. Regarding the 24-hour line, I have been on hold for close to an hour waiting to speak to someone about a security issue in our building.

    Upon moving in, there were and has been constant issues. Whether it's property or management related, take your pick. The unit was a mess, including painting over dirt and insects, along with a painted (rather than waxed) bathtub. I paid for an entire month of rent when I couldn't even live in the suite but wasn't granted any form of compensation or refund. They informed me verbally that the property covers air conditioning which sounded amazing, but it wasn't true, and now they're gaslighting me claiming otherwise. When dealing with this place, ask for everything in writing. Don't call or go in person, have everything down on an email so you have proof because this business can have some clueless and/or careless workers. Also, book your own cleaning crew upon move in because some properties will claim they've hired "professionals"...they don't. I also recommend buying two cans of Raid upon moving in and keeping it in stock during your stay. There are far too many miscommunication with the property managers as well, including blatant rudeness and gaslighting (when they say one thing, but secretly retract their statement and then try convincing you otherwise). MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS IN WRITING AND KEEP THEM ACCOUNTABLE. Never would I ever have imagined that I'd have to be on guard with a widely known rental company.

    In the past we have had amazing experiences. About 2 months ago we moved into ********************* and have had nothing but issues. Started off with black mold they claim isn't there when my husband who has COPD that has never been as bad as it is since moving here. Went from issues with breathing once a month to almost daily, sometimes multiple times a day. Then they claimed we didn't pay rent because they didn't add pet fee after telling them atleast 5 times we have a cat. Including when we went to sign the lease. They gave us a new lease with the extra charge then charged us again. On top of that they want to do bathroom renovations, and that's all good but they expect us to walk a block every time we have to use the bathroom? That literally dosent work and not very realistic. We are considering moving out faster then we moved in.

    I’ve lived here five months and I can tell you in just that short amount of time that this is the most shadiest outfit I’ve ever rented from there’s snowmachine, ran into my truck broke my mirror and they won’t even cover it. My house was without water pressure in the kitchen for a month they didn’t even acknowledge it. This company doesn’t care about its clients. They care about the dollar can’t believe people are like this. This is why Canada is getting bad.

    Third time in as many weeks that I have no hot water. Often there is no hot water mid day or late at night. Seems like they turn the hot water heater off to save money.

    I have to pay to break my lease cause someone in our building has cockroaches and bed bugs and has just been living with them which infesteded the other suites. I reported seeing some in the hallway and it took almost 2 months for them to do anything. We have now seen some in our suite so they want everything bagged so they can spray but after the first one still here. Having to move into our in-laws till its done which is over a month. For such a serious issue it wasnt taken that seriously, and they are not willing to accommodate anything even tho we are not living there and cant due to having small children. We shouldnt be penalized because we actually reported them. Please do not rent with any boardwalk place your safety and well-being cause last.

    Just moved to ********, where apparently this company owns half the city. Tried to book viewings at MULTIPLE of their buildings and there has always been an issue. They either cancel at the last minute, advertise places that are no longer available, or their agents simply don't show to booked appointments. My husband and I had over 5 appointments booked at various Boardwalk buildings throughout the city over the course of several days and we were unable to go to a single one of them due to their own ineptitude. They are also extremely difficult to get in contact with and although they give you a phone number to call it's always redirected to a call centre. We will NEVER live in one of their buildings.

    This is my honest experience last 3 months I have been living in Landsdowne Park apartment in ******** . At the beginning , everything fair despite, apartment too old and outdated, broken mailboxes, smelly samll old appliances in laundry room but at least clean and staffs seems very kind and helpful . After May 2023 heat started , my life have started to live in hell , when outside temp is 20 -23 degree inside 27 - 28C , when temp 8C , heat is activated and unit became like sauna. There is no way get some breeze that only small windows can open, remaining closed big windows get all the heat. When I addressed the heat issue , response is follow: "This is concrete building gets heat deal with it buy AC, etc. " I stucked in the elevator twice nobody came , you have to survive yourself. Additional 2 portable AC , there is no chance still inside 28-30 degree when outside 26-29 degree. During June high heat my asthma condition reached to extreme point that I realized that cannot take this anymore. I have requested to transfer another building with little better air flow , finally after begging the managers , accepting paying more (building and unit not worth that kind of money) I got permission for another building only have opening windows , so I am paying for air actually. During the process , response always "Boardwalk policy", "You loose al discount , no 6 months lease for transfer", "You dont get early transfer unless you provide medical report from doctor ( However when I talked the other building managers , they s\howed more flexibility and understanding and acknowledge the rules can be not that strict depends on individual weel being , these ruiles are not law, just company's benefit protect itself not tenant. who works in office, management they don’t care about tenants , you can only see fake kindness if you address no issue .The compant do better with spending little more money to upgrade for tenant .
