The description provided did not indicate any major issues with the truck, so I proceeded with the purchase, trusting that the vehicle was in good condition. However, upon driving the truck, I noticed a noisy sound coming from the left side of the front end. I promptly scheduled an appointment with a ****** dealership to have the truck inspected. The dealership informed me that the truck had significant transmission and transfer case issues, which had already been reported by the previous owner. Concerned, I contacted Graham Auction via phone and visited their premises later. At Graham Auction, I was informed that they had already issued the cheque to the seller and could no longer assist me. I expressed my dissatisfaction, questioning how they could sell a truck with major transmission and transfer case issues without prior inspection. I emphasized the importance of business ethics and procedures in conducting auctions worth thousands of dollars. They assured me they were communicating with the seller to find a resolution. After two weeks, Graham Auction proposed a resolution with the seller, offering me only $***** in compensation. Feeling helpless, I accepted the offer and sought the assistance of a transmission specialist mechanic. The mechanic replaced the noisy transfer case for $***** plus GST. However, they discovered that the truck's transmissions were beyond repair, necessitating a further $***** for replacement. In total, the truck has cost me $******, far exceeding its actual value of no more than $******. I am sharing my experience to raise awareness and prevent others from falling victim to such *****. I urge Graham Auction to review their business model and implement thorough inspections to identify major issues before auctioning vehicles. No business should profit at the expense of others' hardships.
