Don't get fooled by all the signs that are scattered throughout high end neighbourhood and believe that this is a professional security company that knows what they are doing. They install the most basic of devices and do not read the instructions to understand the right location for devices to work properly. I trusted them to install my security system as they were the builder's choice. I got a bare bones system and when I asked for enhancements to my system **** at National told me I didn't need anything more. When my house was broken into, an 8' x 3' pane of glass being was smashed. The glass sensor that was 3' from the broken glass didn't trigger the alarm. The robbers had plenty of time to go through my house and steal my things. The motion detector was what finally triggered the alarm. I was travelling at the time and the monitoring centre called me to tell me about the trigger, but instead of sending the guard THAT I HAD BEEN PAYING FOR FOR YEARS, they told me that a drape probably set if off and I should send someone to take a look. What you they not send the guard to take a look?! The incompetence of this company is astounding. Not only had they installed the glass break sensor in the exact spot the instructions advised NOT TO INSTALL it, the monitoring centre assumed the trigger was nothing, even though I had never had a trigger before, they didn't send the guard they were supposed to send. Post robbery, they tested the device and couldn't get it to trigger the alarm with their testing device, even though they were in my home on a yearly basis "testing" the system. Their website has no information. Nothing. That says a lot. I believe the monitoring fee is what is important to them. I would never trust this company with the security of anything, much less my home and the security of my family.
