  These swindlers failed to complete the personal tax obligations they signed up for and then had the audacity to falsely accuse me of threats (when absolutely no threats were made - at all) when it was their blatant lack of accountability to their clients that was to blame. On top of that they never missed a beat to charge me additional thousands of dollars for services never rendered, or done so in such a fashion that caused me to incur penalties with the **** Their accountant, while well-meaning, could not fulfill his required duties, made a gross error in attributing a large donation to my file that belonged to another client, and missed multiple reporting committments that he made to me through our correspondence. Then they suddenly decided they didn't want to deal with us anymore and pulled the plug one year into a multi-year committment, refunding the payment for future years but still charging full price for tax services for the current year that were never fully rendered. The lack of professionalism and regard for the difficulties faced by new business owners is astounding as was their tone-deaf handling of customer relations after THEY messed up. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THEY WON'T GET YOU A DEAL OR A REFUND, JUST A HUGE CRA BILL.

  I have been with FBC as a client for 2 years.Year 1, the accountant filed my tax without ever speaking to me, there were emails back and forth, oddbut I didnt think much of it as my sister had used them for many years.Taxes was filed and CRA decided to audit, not only that year but the 2 years prior because my recent filing had such high deductions. Upon review of my deductions claimed by FBC I found these numbers were fabrications.I reached out to my accountant who did not reply to calls, emails or texts AT ALL.I finally called the office and after being passed to several people a manager assured me they would assign an audit specialist and new accountant for the current tax year (I was advised to not change accounting company during an audit) so ok fine.First audit specialist @FBC: I sent 189 pages of documents all organized, she "lost" them and then transfered to a new department so I was assigned a new audit person Second audit specialist @FBC: was "too busy" for my file and reassigned it THIRD audit specialist @FBC: provides ZERO assistance, and does not advocate to CRA, I can see in my CRA acct thst she simply forwards what I send her as is. There has been ZERO attempt at trying to maximize deductions or process the audit quickly.I am now also being audited for a forth year (last year completed by FBC) because the accountant from last year claimed my deductions for car/home office at 100%. I was informed of this today ". I want to apologize on behalf of FBC as I know that is not something you wanted to hear" I have left SEVERAL messages for FBC managers to return my calls and have got NOTHING!I have been charged several "late filing fees" by CRA because FBC continues to ask for extensions (due to their workload or holiday schedule), my audit has been going on for almost 2 years now and I have had to send FBC the same files over and over in both PDF and printed versions.What am I paying for?! The luxury of audits being triggered by actions of FBC?!

  Hi ********,First, we want to thank you for working with us and for being open about your impressions surrounding your experience with FBC. We are sorry that you are feeling frustrated and while it is our policy to protect our Members private information and the communication we have throughout our relationship, we will however, take this opportunity to clarify a few points that have unfortunately been misrepresented in your review.Prior to joining FBC in June 2022, your 2019 and 2020 returns were already under a *** Expense Review (which is different from an audit). We assigned a senior Tax Consultant and a member of our audit team to your account, and in our review of those returns we found the same significant errors in the application of expense deductions. We worked with the *** on this issue but despite our best efforts, they have held firm with their original decision.Regarding the return that FBC did process for you, our quality control and audit team discovered some items that required an adjustment which were also flagged by the *** for an expense review. We have been working with you to gather supporting documentation to finalize the adjustment. Again, this is not an audit and there have been no fines assessed to your account by the *** related to this return.We have worked diligently with you and have provided you with the *** guidelines on what you can and cannot deduct. Unfortunately, due to previous errors in claimed deductions, you are more likely to be flagged for a *** expense review in the future.Our supervisor has been in touch with you to address our concerns and our team stands ready to support you with your tax needs.

  Why are you harassing me with cold calls and texts? I DO NOT want to hear from you and I DO NOT want your services!!!! I'm also registered on ******** National Do Not Call List... Be on that list 12+ years, so why are you contacting me with your telemarketing soliciting calls and texts messages? Sounds like you need to learn about the law.DO NOT CONTACT ME.Thanks.

  Similar to everyone else, I was sold on what seemed like a competent business'. But as soon as they get your money, you will not hear from your rep again. They will most likely ignore you for weeks or months on end and will not be apoloegtic when they finally reach you. I'm LATE on a variety of items FBC was supposed to resolve. I also regret coming to this company and had wished I had done a deeper investigation. I wish I knew I couldve cancelled in 10 days I would've done it! But of course the their sales rep won't tell you such a thing....******** company on this planet. Truly a horrible buisness, I wish I could warn more people. Might email the *** personally asking for a refund because this is a nightmare.Would rate 0/5, STAY AWAY

  It is not our policy to publicly discuss details of our interactions, but our communication records indicate that there have been over 75 interactions with you since you registered in December 2022. You also just confirmed our bookkeeping services the week of January 30. At FBC, we have teams dedicated to servicing our Members and responding in a timely matter.   Such a terrible expereince. First of all, FBC's "Tax Specialist Supervisor" is a marketing major with no accounting expereince, yet he came in to "fix" the nightmare situation FBC put us in. We paid almost $5000 to get them to do our corporate books. We sent them a quickbooks login link and 2 months later they had still not logged in! They had all our invoice backup and took 2 months to do anytihng with it which caused us an accounting nightmare and rush to get our year end done.Worst of all, the statements they provided back were not properly reconciled and would have embarassed any first year accounting garduate. But like I said, their Tax Specialist came from Bell and have no accounting expereince. We ended up having to get someone else to do our taxes because it was such a faisco and spend another $5000. Despite not compleeting any our corporate or personal taxes as the fee was supposed to cover, they didn't refund us. The icing on the cake was they created the invoice for service never propeerly provided incorrectly (not made out to our company that hired them but in our personal names, something EVERY accounting and bookkeeping firm knows. The *** will likely be disallowed as we were audited and the invoice is made out to the worng company. When I reached out twice to get it corrected, the supervisor was as rude as he was every time I have interacted with him and no invoice has been produed. Shameful company of accounting snake oil salesman and anyone looking for accounting help, whould run the other way.
