In January 2020 BBB investigated Young Fitness Inc's business practices. This investigation was prompted by complaints received.

BBB has reached out to the business with a number of questions in hopes to better understand their business model and practices. BBB has reached out to the business by email and letter and has failed to receive a response. BBB also attempted to contact Young Fitness Inc by calling (780) 413-9577, BBB was not able to leave a message.

Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot state with confidence that we have a clear understanding of the business' model and practices.

As of June 3, 2020 BBB has exhausted all forms of contact to the business. Consumers with outstanding concerns are still encouraged to file a complaint for BBB records but may also wish to contact legal counsel and/or reach out to Service Alberta.

Customer Complaint

On May 11, 2016 BBB contacted Young Fitness about a pattern of consumer complaints.

The issues brought forward in the complaints were as follows:

-customers indicated that they are being invoiced for ads they did not request, and/or were not authorized by someone with the authority to do so.
-customers also indicate that their offices being called repeatedly in order to find a staff person that will enter into the advertising agreement even if that staff person does not have the authority to do so.

On May 16, 2016 BBB did receive a response to our inquiries. The company indicated that they have revised part of their sales script which "address the problems that seem to be common complaints". They also provided copies of their procedures and processes.

BBB does not yet have evidence that the behaviours that caused the pattern of complaint have ceased and will continue to monitor this complaint record.
