Sunday, February 20, 2022 LAWDEPOT billed me today without my purchasing their membership. I had only logged in to review their products and services, however, they are US law rather than CANADIAN templates. And so, I logged out of the site because they force you to create an account and add a credit card simply to review their products and services. I Logged into LawDepot after I received a notice of a billing from the company to my *** ****. "I did NOT give you permission to bill me for your membership. I did NOT purchase your membership. I have gone into the system and cancelled the membership. But, given my negative experiences with companies that conduct such business practices, I will be contacting *** **** immediately to notify them of this matter. Cancel the billing and refund any and all monies IMMEDIATELY. ******** * * ******" Msg to *** and *** **** Cust Service "I was just checking my *** **** account balance and I saw a charge that I did NOT approved or purchase. ( 20 February 2022 - LAWDEPOT.COM ********** ** $100.67). This is a regular occurrence with such online companies they ask you to provide your credit card number simply to review their product offerings but then they bill you even though NO PURCHASE OF SUBSCRIPTION WAS MADE. ************** ** *** *** ****** **** ******* ********* *** ******** The charge was placed on my **** card today as AUTHORIZED and I immediately CANCELLED the "purchase" and NOTIFIED LAW DEPOT that I had NEVER bought their service and I wanted the charge CANCELLED IMMEDIATELY. Their website does not allow a cancellation of IMPROPER BILLING. I tried to report this to *** **** but their link states that a *** customer CANNOT challenge an AUTHORIZED billing. ** ** *** ****** *** *** *** ******* *********** **** ****** ********* ***** ********** ******* ********** I need ***'s help in rectifying this matter immediately. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Regards, *******"

The cancellation process trough law depot online tells you that your account has been canceled and that an email will be sent which can be in spam or any other folder. They don't give you a time frame, the whole process is a convenient scheme to continue to charge their monthly subscription. I was charged for a total of 10 consecutive months and was only reimbursed for 4 after I realized I was still being charged, for a service I wasn't using. My main complaint is in regards to their cancellation process.

I had my signed up for a free trial the first few days of November. I did not cancel my subscription after the trial as it slipped my mind. I called in November 8th/10th after noticing a 130.00+ charge and asked for a reimbursement. The associate over the phone did so. November 16th December 16th January 16th I was charged 35.00 per month I just called in and spoke to several associates who advised me that I must’ve manually gone in and charged or restarted the process for a free trial. There was a conflict of conversation while one associate advised me I verbally signed up and another associate advised that I must’ve done so on my computer. The calls are monitored and recorded and I ask that the following be done I receive my reimbursement of $35 a month for the last three months Call of the day I canceled to be heard as well as all the phone calls there after I need proof of the IP address that signed up. What was sent to me looks like it was typed up with a typewriter. There’s no real justification aside from some thing that was copy pasted.

I signed up for a LawDepot.com account because I thought I might use one of their products, which I ended up deciding not to use. You are required to provide a credit/debit card and if you don’t cancel you’re automatically charged $35/month. The problem is the company never once sent a confirmation email, an account opening email, nor a bill or charge for services. So it wasn’t until 6 months later, in December, when my wife happened to be checking our account the day after a lawdepot charge was assessed. I had to spend 30 minutes even figuring out what it was and when I did I dig through my email back to June when I accessed the site one single time. Nothing. No email ever sent to my account. No bills. No receipts. No reminders that the account was being charged. Just silently sneaking in and taking $35 from me every month.

I previously signed up with Law Depot. I cancelled my account in September 2021 but still incurred a monthly charge of $40.95 on my credit card twice, once at the end of September 2021 and then again at the end of October 2021. I finally deleted my Law Depot account hoping this would stop the monthly charges. I have informed my credit card company about these ********** charges.

My daughter and I agreed to pay for a one time form on LawDepot.com. Apparently they signed us up for a monthly subscription for their services that I was not aware of until today. When I called the company, they said we signed up for a trial service and that they confirmed the subscription with an email in January 2021. I currently have over 25,000 emails on my computer and would only see it if I was looking for it. We have never used this service again which begs the question: why would I ksign up for a service when I only needed a one time form **** *** * ****** ** ********* **** * *** *********  I **** * *** ******* *** am requesting a refund from this company of all charges with the exception of the one time form that was authorized.
