Law Depot provides legal forms etc on an subscription basis with annual auto renewal. I saw the charge on my credit card bill received ******2025 which posted *****/2025. I called Law Depot to cancel and was told subscription was fully earned since it wasn't cancelled within ** days of renewal. This was never disclosed and no reminder email was sent indicating renewal date had arrived and my cc would be charged. I don't believe this is legal and I see where Law Depot lists an *********** address but my billing statement reflects ********, ******, maybe to escape BBB and US law regarding subscriptions agreements and cancellations?Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I never received an email stating it was time to renew my subscription! When I told the individual on the phone this she stated, "we don't keep that information on file" and yet my email address is the user id issued by **********************. Auto renew subscriptions are fairly common, I've never encountered one that didn't either pro-rate a cancellation request or flat cancel with a 100% refund. Convenient that Law Depot's stated policy (as I'm learning now) only allows ** days to cancel - timing wise I had not received my credit card statement with the charge until after the ** day ****** period"!

Hello , I paid for the following services. Their office kept saying its in my document tab and its available for download but they were not there. After repeated requested they managed to add all documents related to my incorp. I signed up for LawDepots free trial on January **, 2025, and never used their service again after that. However, I recently discovered that I have been charged for two months without receiving any email or text notifications regarding these charges.I do not recall when I officially registered the account, and I am unable to log in to cancel the subscription. I signed up for a 1-week free trial on January **, 2025. I acknowledge that I did not cancel the subscription in time, which led to a charge. However, the merchant never notified me after charging my accountnot once over the two months they continued to bill me. If I hadnt manually checked my bank statement, I would not have known I was being charged at all. I find this practice to be extremely concerning and not reflective of a fair or transparent transaction.
When I contacted the merchants customer service on ********************, I was told they could not help me because the matter was now between me and my bank due to my dispute. After discussing this with my bank (****************), they clarified that they are only a mediator and have already closed the case based on the information provided. They also advised that the merchant could still issue a refund if they chose to do so.
I understand this started as a mistake on my part for not canceling the subscription, but I dont believe it's fair that the merchant can continue charging without notifying me. I believe I deserve a refund for at least one of the billing cycles and a resolution that acknowledges the lack of communication.

I opened a business and Law Depot was supposed to fulfill certain requirements paid for and charged for.Upon speaking with my accountant , the firm informed me that certain task were not performed.I emailed them to inquire and requested a credit on items I had been charged for and paid for when the service wasn't actually performed.Its been about 3weeks now, and funny enough, there is no refund pending and although I received a confirmation my message had been received, complete crickets.I request a full refund now given the fraudulent transaction, lack of transparency and refusal to address the problem.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The email I sent requesting adjustment be made given that I was charged for the requested service that was never performed. It was ignored and my accountant actually notified me that my GST and Payroll was never created and yet it was requested and paid for , but the services not delivered by LawDepot.
Based on that fraudulent activity and given that even when notified and completed the formal request using the format directly from my LawDepot account, not only was it ignored, it was never corrected, now that is why I am asking for a full refund as other than inputting the data into your system, I and someone else did the work for you.

Contacted the company with an inquiry about charges that were not accurate. January **, 2025 at **** p.m. Spoke to an agent (*****) who began a very hostile engagement that clearly was a part of her practice. The agent was condescending, rude and hostile toward me. At issue was unlawful charges. Charges that continued beyond the cancellation of the plan. I attempted to inquire about the charge and was met with huge assumptions about my actions. She didn't attempt to hear my inquiry. Her assumptions were cookie cutter responses to questions that clearly have been asked hundreds of times by other surprised and unsuspecting consumers. This company seems to mishandle requests for cancellations and continues to add charges at will. On September *, I was looking for a document to fill out to give to my doctor for my end of life choices and I found law depot saying that they had free documents you had to sign up for an account to get the free document I signed up and then Made the document and then canceled then in order to print I had to re-log into my account, which apparently started on the account again and they then continued to charge me $** a month until I happen to catch it on my November statement so they charge me September October, November and possibly December. Im not sure yet seeing that this happened. I asked the company for a refund and they proceeded to tell me that they were not going to give me a refund for the other months, but would give me one month refund because I had not canceled my Account well the reason I went back on there is because I wrote a review about how bad the process was and they contacted me and asked me to change my review I did and then they proceeded to take the money from me and now are taunting me saying I shouldve seen this every month on my account the only thing That highlighted this was the fact that I saw it had an international transaction charge and because debit card transactions are extremely difficult to identify by the small identifier given by my bank. I missed this on the account. As noted on our website, an active subscription is required to print documents. After you reactivated your trial subscription at **** PM ET to print, there was no additional cancellation received within the trial period, and the subscription transitioned into a monthly plan.
Please note that our charges are based on subscriptions rather than usage. According to our Terms of Use, LawDepot is not obligated to issue refunds for free trials that have properly converted to paid product access. However, as a goodwill gesture, we provided you with a one-month courtesy refund. We will not be able to provide additional refunds to you at this time.
Regarding the international transaction charge you mentioned, LawDepot does not apply such charges for users within *****************. If you can provide a screenshot of the transaction showing the additional fee, I would be happy to investigate this further.

Trying to cancel subscription. Lady on phone says no account information was put in but am remembering putting my credit card in.
