      Ref Ram Exteriors inc. please note. new premises **********************************************************. ********** Overpriced for roofing of dura-last on a trailer, should be half what was quoted.. Ordered work last Feb. goods delivered in May, placed on roof. Work started in July. Contract states work to start within * weeks from delivery. Half contract price paid for goods. Finished works was shoddy, and looks unfinished. Final invoice sent before a final inspection, which has not yet happened. Holding final ************* as contractors x2 stepped through roof, and left huge hole in ceiling. They did not put planking down on roof before walking on it. Contractor denies culpability and would send us a quote for repair. Have got another contractor to repair ceiling, which will require whole ceiling fix, not patching/matching up. We would be prepared to pay final invoice, minus $**** quoted for ceiling repair. There are photos/invoices/delivery docs available if required. An independent contractor is willing to do an inspection report if required..

      Regarding the complaint with the Egans. We have completed the project in full as to the spec of the manufacturer. We were contracted to come in and put on a new roof as they had a leak on their current roof. We sold the project and had a couple delays in getting materials here. Once materials arrived, we waited for the weather to clear up for a long enough period of time to complete the project. We started the project and mid way through the project, one of the guys fell through the roof as it was very rotten. We had a conversation with the egans and offered to give them a quote for the repairs. They felt as though we were responsible for the repairs on the ceiling on the inside because it was us that fell through the roof. We werent contracted to come in and fill rot, only a simple remove and replace. Because the roof was so rotten, responsibility for the damages fell on the customer.  We had a discussion with them about this and they were happy to get a quote. 2 days later, they left the review with you guys. I didnt find out about it until the following week and went up to talk with them in person. We were able to talk it through and they came in and paid 3 days after our discussion. The roof is now complete and the project is paid in full.

      we are not happy with this Company, and felt threatened by their attitude.

       I find that there are several inconsistencies in his reply.

      The owner, (the writer of the reply) and one of his workers actually stepped off off the rafters, and came through the ceiling, and one of his workers was heard to say stay in the rafters!  ******************* was actually sitting underneath the part of the ceiling that was damaged when it happened, and was covered in debris.  They also should have surveyed the roof and gave advice before starting work, and also let us know that in their opinion the roofs rafters were rotten, when the original roof was stripped off.  
      The owner knew about the complaint on the day it was sent to you, he arrived  to do a final check that afternoon, and mentioned it.

      we consider the case closed, the damage has been repaired, to our own cost, and we did not agree to a quote from him, although he did offer, as we still believe that he should have some culpability.

      We certainly dont think that we would get any further with his Company, especially when he told us he had consulted a solicitor.  We have no proof of that, but felt intimidated by his attitude.
