    I purchased a new ***** Home in ***************** and moved in on June **, 2023.Advantage Heating and Air Conditioning is the supplier that ***** uses for their homes in the area.The heating in my brand new home is terrible. The main floor only receives a small amount of heat in the cold winter through one vent due to Advantage placing the main floor thermostat directly above the second floor and main floor plenums where hot air heats up the floors and walls. This causes the temperature around the main floor thermostat to stay above **  to ** degrees while the other parts of the main floor are ** to ** degrees.Advantage will not fix the issue. They quote the mythical "code" and tell me that the average temperature is more than ** degrees C on the main floor in the cold winter that it is fine. It is not.The *** that Advantage installed was installed wrong. One of the dampers was installed incorrectly and closed when it should have opened. No air was circulating through the vents at one point. Advantage instructed me to run my *** constantly to move the air in my house, which I did. That causes the *** to shut down after it overheats and I have to reset the *** manually by unplugging it. The company will not repair the heating system in my new house. I have never seen such obstinance to such an obvious problem that was caused by their poor workmanship. Advantage has installed a clearly faulty heating system in my house and I have to use box fans to move air throughout my house in the winter. It is not what an A rated BBB company should provide.

    Advantage Heating & Air Conditioning has attended this home * times since the homeowner has taken possession in June of 2023.  The main floor has 9 heat runs installed as per code requirements for CFM. Many factors affect heat loss & gain such as number of windows and their rating, insulation rating and house layout.   The thermostat is located in the middle of the main floor which does contain a return air in the wall.  As per our last trades day with the builder and homeowner, we were instructed that Alberta New Home Warranty was to assess this house and we would be contacted if any actionable items are required.  At this time, the builder has not received any reports from Alberta New Home Warranty.
