      We were un able to drive for over a week because our broker with this company would not answer the phone, and would not respond to voicemail or email. We sold our minivan and purchased a larger vehicle but could not transfer our insurance because our broker would not respond to us and would not answer our calls, and no one else from the company would transfer our insurance for us. Then when we finally got our vehicle insurance transferred, they hiked our rates. Our broker said he would look for a better rate for us when our policy came up for renewal, but never did, and quit responding to us entirely. Since our broker would not respond to us we decided not to renew, and to switch insurance companies (we saved over $600 by switching to someone else). We left messages with our broker saying we would not be renewing our insurance. We also called reception and told them we would not be renewing because our broker will not respond to us. The company continued to bill us anyway. We called reception again, and they told us they could not cancel, we would have to talk to a broker. They transferred us to another broker who did not answer us or respond to our message either.

      I have a motor cycle and bought the secondary Ins usually called "Beacon" from Westland Ins ********** **. Most riders do this because its not as expensive as ICBC.My cost is $670 per year and yesterday April 11th 2023 I was contacted by email to say the policy was set for renewal. I contacted the person who emailed me to say I wanted to renew and everything was the same. I was expecting to pay the regular rate of $39.00 per month but when logged into my bank account I noticed they took the entire $670 out for the year without my permission. I contacted Westland Ins to tell them I was displeased by what they did and after spending most of the day trying to contact the agent or anyone to find a resolve I finally found someone at another branch who set up a refund but was told that it might take up to two weeks to get my money back. Finally I insisted that they reimburse me immediately and was eventually told the money would be couriered to me today April 12th to my home. However I was told I have to be home to sign for it meaning I have to take the day off of work and sign the delivery. I told them if I have to do that then they have to pay me for the day off as Im self employed and dont get sick days or days off to deal with these types of things. Im waiting to hear and waiting for the delivery a home all day for however long it takes. Ive since pulled my dealings with them and and any accounts I had. I also expressed my complete displeasure of how they did this type of business without my permission. I also contacted my bank and asked them what can be done and they said that I could have it "Clawed Back" meaning they could reverse the debit if I didnt receive my reimbursement.Im very upset by this.
